Yeah I've read Buschur is jumping into the gtr market. Personally, he's a little late to the party though. Pricing will be cheaper, by how much, guess we'll have to wait and see. My thing is, AMS, Switzer, Tsm, T1, etc. have all proven setups, timeslips, and established customer backing. Funny thing is Tym used to work for Buschur back in the day but left and opened up Switzer, now they're working specifically on high end euro's and gtrs. Buschur has a solid backing w/dsm's so prior owners who moved into the gtr market will probably go w/him. I've had a few of his parts on my old evo and can't complain.

I think the used market owners will fuel the majority of his client base. They're looking for affordable performance and he usually brings that in. I sometimes worry about his products though because they're not as fit and finished... he's also had many revisions to his products over the years. Sometimes he's offered replacements other times he's like well buy a new one kind of thing. I didn't see this being the case as much for companies like AMS. Though in the end I can't deny that his parts delivered results and more competition is always good for the consumers wallet. I also can't ignore the fact that when you're making the newest of parts, revisions are probably to be expected but the number of them could be less with better testing... obviously though better R & D means higher pricing.

Maybe we'll hear the days of:

"Buschur Power Bro" all over again lol!!

You're right with deep enough pockets anything is possible but I don't consider that the difficult part.(sort of) I more or less meant how far the car needs to go under the wrench to get it where you want. So for example a GtR will easily get there without really pushing the car at all. Hell just a tune completely stock sees gains of over 75whp+/-. It's a very impressive car... Just when buying new I don't think a house payment interests many of us lol! Plus it was recently awarded most expensive car to insure in the United states.
$100...Is what I'm awarded with for insurance, Brian.

Nice.

I'm just stating based on what various outlets quoted from insurance companies. Forbes being one of them, MSN was another and so forth. I'm sure you could find a much cheaper vehicle with less premiums. Obviously if it's someone 21 or younger they're going to be paying $300+ a month anyways. Evo, STI, GTR, Cobra, doesn't matter.

Either way it all adds up, payments are still substantial because of sticker price and so on. It's just about choice and that's the persons business on how they want to spend their money.

I am definitely surprised at that rate Justin but as you know all depends on the person, their history and what have you.

Edit: Few places talking about it ->

Yeah I was worried about what all the nay-sayers were telling me prior to owning a GTR such things as cost of labor, parts, etc etc. I also find it amusing how people who don't own a GTR seem to know the most about them or tell me stuff that I already know.

Insurance is not only based on the car, its based on credit, driving record, discounts, age , homeowner. So I guess I'm doing pretty good to have cheap insurance. I honestly think its all about credit, but I'm biased because I'm in financing.

Nonetheless, if you got it, you got it. If someone has the means to make a high monthly payment on a car so be it. We all work hard for our money and at the end of the day if you can afford a suby,Evo, GT-R, or even a lambo, own it proud. Just don't buy a gunmetal GT-R 2 is enough in Anchorage!

Brian hope the car is coming along well.

Yup definitely. Multi insurance discounts, etc etc. Lots of factors play into it.

As I said it's all our own business on how we want to spend our money. Hopefully I wasn't insinuating anything, that wasn't my intentions. New is expensive as you know personally is all I was trying to say. I think we talked about it a few weeks ago too on what payments for an 2013 would look like. Both of us had the "ouch" expression when we looked over it lol.

Anyways, things are going great thanks for asking. Once things are caught up we'll be looking at picking up a car for the lady in a couple months. As usual you know who we will call first.
