That fixed quote is true.

I'm either going to sell my car if I can find a decent job... or go the retrofit course if I can.

The retrofit is time consuming (a full day the first time), and definitely requires researching the process up front, but the extra lumens, spread of light at the sides of the road, absence of glare for other road users, and of course the bi-xenon aspect made it worth it for me, one of my favourite mods on the car.

Good luck with the job hunt.

I did a retrofit on my tC that I had. I used TSX projectors.

Hatch I assume? Yes but you will need longer exhaust hangers. Theoutbackdream and I have done it. I think the sound is perfect not too loud but more noticeable than stock, which is basically non-existent.

Looks good! How long did it take you? I've seen people that had to sand it and strip the clear coat to do that. Did you do that as well?

Took almost 2 hours.

No sanding here..the shine mostly came from Adams Brilliant Glaze. The clay bar cleaned it up and topped it with the glaze and a wax.

Plastidip, with about 10 light coats..

Yup i had them. Definitely nice to have, as it did bring out a nicer sound to the car. When on WOT, it sounded so nice, where as stock just sounded like an engine... However, my ONLY gripe about it was due to the quad tip, the stock single hole exhaust exit looks really weird. If you want to look stock, a 09 WRX exhaust is also nice, its a bit quieter than the quad tip, but much better than stock.

However, depends how much your paying for it too, because you may even be able to get a brand name exhaust.

Here some pics on my OBS.

For $40 more than the OEM wrx exhaust, I got a tsudo N1 used..

I did the h9 mod and the visibility was noticeably better. I never got HID's cause everyone bitches about them in stock headlights. One day I said F It, and got DDM Tuning HID's ( 6000k ) for like 40 bucks and my visibility doubled the h9 output. Very Minimal glare, and still a sharp beam cut off. I highly recommend it if you like HID look.

I did the H9 to H11 and yea its a huge difference over stockers. Just used the OSRAM Sylvania H9 I was surprised how hard it was to find a pair had to drive to 3 different stores. Its worth it though. (pure white light in person)

This makes it seem like it shouldn't be a problem I'm most likely doing it in a week or 2 because my hids are acting up and I just don't wanna deal with it anymore and the h9 seem to be a big improvement over stock h11

Does anyone know if the Nameless muffler delete pipes would fit the '08 2.5i sedan?
http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Axle-Back-Exhaust

If so, sound impressions/opinions? Thanks.
