Looks will always be subjective. I do find designs that have different front and back styling unattractive. As mentioned the lack of cohesive style just looks bad to me.

I think it’s great that SOA is proactive with the whole environment thing. However, if they really cared about the environment they would get their emissions under control. If and when the US just uses the same standards as Europe, Subaru is dead.

Planning on an all EV line-up is short sighted also. There will be commercial carbon-neutral liquid options.

Peace,

Greg

I scrolled right on by the B-11S looking for Subarus at that autoshow(online) cause my brain saw "Alpha" with that front end. Even look at the B-9 tail end and see the similarities to the Alpha Kamal concept. SOOOOOOOOO happy that failed and they moved on. Now, the Impreza/WRX/STI version of that worked the best and isn't horrible. I'd have zero issue owning that. But, saw an R-2 while in Japan and just shook my head.
Allegedly, the exterior was done on the B9 before Zapatinas got there. He worked on the interior...however, I agree the Kamal concept is very close and the three lobed airplane grille was very Alfa-esque. I don't believe the story. I thought the B11S was great at the time, now it's not so hot haha.

FYI, it is Alfa or A.L.F.A (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili, translated Lombardy Automobile Factory, Inc.), not Alpha. They are all gorgeous in their way.

I'm curious to the differences in the Hydrid engine and their "normal" engine. If it is better for emissions, why not move more with that? I'm sure the info is somewhere. Was just in here "running my mouth" about it. They clearly have a plan(talked about it at last years retailer meeting I went to). Just curious to what it is.

They should make all top (Touring or Limited) trims hybrid in the US. Either PHEV or Hybrid (e Boxer).

I missed this earlier. Man, I was just not paying attention with the spelling. Thanks for the slap. And, yeah, like I said, no one is gonna convince me. UNLESS, they "copied" him knowing they were going to bring him in and were like "Look, we LOVE your designs soooo much we copied them. Please come work with us and finish them".....

I have to say it's sad/funny that the Crosstrek has more paint on its bumpers than the WRX. Really makes one wonder what the hell Subaru was thinking.

Yah but the WRX has never looked good and also this

so your opinion is meaningless troll talk. Probably not in the market to buy a WRX anyway.

Really laying on the idea of a mini-outback which I don't hate. If I had a kid going to college, this would be what the're getting -Nothing higher than a Prem trim.

they will sell a bajillion of these. Great family car for sure for those needing affordable reliable transportation. Not the prettiest, but it does look better on the move in that video.

Neat video by SoJ for the 50th anniversary of Subaru AWD, mostly featuring the new Crosstrek.

They really seem to like the Crosstrek(XV). LOL. The Aussies did a similar video when the XV was released way back then. I really liked that commercial and wished they had done something similar here.

I'll never forgive them for leaving my Sweet 4th gen Lgt design in the dust like that. All I craved was a spec B (Not much diff from my lgt), but dammit I was close (Until they were all bought up)

I saw a super clean, stock 4th Gen LGT sedan the other day. Stock wheels too, believe it or not. I almost wanted to wait for the person to return to their car just so I could ask if they were the original owner, then leave my contact info if they ever planned to sell the thing. Such a rare specimen.

Crosstrek did not fare well in new side impact tests.

https://www.thedrive.com/news/2022-s...act-crash-test

Presumably the Impreza & WRX will also fare poorly in these tests.

ROFL, and it is still much, much safer than the ancient IS or the tiny GTI. ..Cladding and all.

We're months away from a FMC that will likely improve this.

Trolling, yet again.

Quick Google search reveals that the gti had the same rating on the original test, and was not retested with this updated protocol yet. So continue talking out your ass.

Really sad how tied your life is to the perceptions of Subaru cars.
