Default Exhaust compatibility 02+ WRX -> 98 RS

I did a little bit of searching here at nasioc and didn't find what I was looking for. So I was wondering if anyone could answer my question. Will the factory exhaust (catback) from a 2002 and later WRX fit on a 98 RS? Looking for something on the cheap side for now.

I put one on mine, the flange had to be cut off and rotated and the midpipe extended by 4 inches. Also a hanger had to be moved.

In the end it would have been easier to get the stock resonator removed and a different muffler installed because I did change the muffler later.

Thanks for the links and it looks like it will work - I'll ditch the stock resonator. If it doesn't work I'll be out $20 bucks.
