Default PVC Diagnosis Connector and Greddy catch-can

In the 2001 to 2003 models, this connector dose not appear to be present (see pics here: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...p?threadid=693 ). In that install they disconnect the input to the intake duct from the PCV and tee the PCV hose with the valve cover vent hose and put that into the catch can. Then from the can they went back to the intake duct where the valve cover vent hose would have originally gone. The input to the intake duct from the PCV hose is simply capped.

The question is what to do about this connector/sensor? Will it still function properly if the output side of the PCV hose on the other side of this sensor is tee with the valve cover vent hose then put into the catch can?

(Please ignore underscore, just trying to get things to line up)

Do you think that the can should be modified to be more like the AVO (saw this done in a post here somewhere) can with two input and one output? That way the output of the PCV hose with the sensor will have its own input into the can and the valve cover vent can use the other input to the can.

Come on people. One of you has to know what the hell this thing dose and if what I'm planing is a ok thing to do. Has any of you guys/gals done a catch can in a 04 WRX or 04 STi. Both of them should have this newly added sensor/connector. I think I'm going to go with plan number 2 with the mod to the greddy can.
