$60 base cost per event. Extra $10 for walk-ups. $10 for weekend SCCA membership if not annual SCCA member. Our 2 day event will be $100 base cost.
The season subscription was priced to basically provide 1 "free" points event and 1 "free" drivers school, including the cost of an annual SCCA membership.

I'd really like to try this out, at least participate in one of the schools, but IMO all these websites are very convoluted.

3 hours isn't bad, especially considering Summit Point is one of the best rallycross venues on the east coast. There's a few drivers that come from DE.

Speaking of overnight stays, anyone want to split a room the Saturday night between the drivers school and the first event?

Hmm I may just have to make the trip then. Would it be worth it to just come to the driving school? I have to work on Sunday's.

Last year was attack of the Kraut-burners. This year seems like it'll be attack of the GR's.

This off-season's recruiting so far has some new people who are planning to come out:
- 2 Miatas - a GTI - 2 B5 Audi A4s - 2 Evos - Possibly an e34 5-series - At least one more e30 so far the Honda/VW/Scion crowd hasn't shown much interest. Must be too busy working on their stance. |

I have both too, and I concur. Though I much prefer the WRX for every other kind of driving Plus the e30 doesn't lose its front clip, lol. I had fun doing a run in Adam's GC last year though....so much faster and "in control" lol.

^ Wait, what do you mean lose its front clip?
I'm guessing that my other mods put me firmly in the modified category anyway. Thanks for the info. |

but really that only happened to one guy last year IIRC, and I think it was due to an off-course excursion. He just took it off before running at the rest of the events. But really if you're stock height without a lip, you'll be fine. One of the few downsides to the GR. I was just making fun because the e30 has giant metal bumpers and could probably hit a tree and not hurt anything, lol. Last edited by irish44j; 02-14-2013 at 09:24 PM. |

Haha, no I can see that easily. I was sort of surprised to find that only a few clips held my bumper in when I removed it for CAI and FMIC work. I'm now missing about 5 of them because after the first removal, apparently their integrity goes out the window and they have a good chance of just falling out.

mine is almost entirely held on by zipties at this point. They hold well, and just cut them off to remove and use new ones, lol.
