Question Mismatched tire question for the experts

I had a blowout recently on my RS so I am short one tire. The three remaining RE92s have approx 8000 miles on them. My WRX also has RE92s with approx. 3000 miles on them.
If I get some Kumho 712s for the WRX, will I run into any problems on the RS if I mount one of the 3000-mile-wear RE92s from the WRX with the 3 8000-mile RE92s?
In other words, will a 5000 mile wear difference at one corner, given the same type of tire, cause any differential problems?
I'd really like to replace the blown tire on the RS with a WRX takeoff and get Kumhos for the WRX, and I dont want to pony up the extra bucks to get all 4 WRX takeoffs mounted.

Bonus questions: Recommended Kumho 712 size for stock WRX rims? or, recommended Kumho 712 size for 16x7 RS rims mounted on a WRX? I may end up swapping rims between cars just for the hell of it.

This is what I would do. Get the Kumho's for the WRX, and then mount two of the newer RE92s on the front axle of the RS. It's safer than just using one slightly newer tire at one corner.

With the WRX, you shouldn't have problem going up to 225/50R16 with the Kumho's. And I'd agree with swapping the wheels too, to get that extra 1/2 inch.

There would be such a small difference in a tire's diameter from a few thousand miles worth of wear, I wouldn't give it a second thought.

If you measure the circumference of the 3000 mile tire and the 8000 mile tires, and the difference is 1/2" or less, you are fine.
