I can't find a reason for Tron bump, so maybe it's a pump/dump, but the info on it sounds intriguing enough for me to flush some money down the toilet.

Tronix does look cool, but it is certainly on a pump right now and I don't buy into Chinese projects anymore due to the unpredictable government and their past actions.

XRP holder all getting paid that is awesome!

It's so funny that the day after I post that BTC chart saying "look how crappy it performs" it just TOOK OFF!

I stand by my dislike of Ripple. Coin for banksters, with the lions share held by the company, not distributed to the markets. Here is the distribution information from WIKI:
Quote:
Distribution[edit]
Of the 100 billion created, 20 billion XRP were retained by the creators, who were also the founders of Ripple Labs. The creators gave the remaining 80% of the total to Ripple Labs, with the XRP intended "to incentivize market maker activity to increase XRP liquidity and strengthen the overall health of XRP markets."[110][113] Ripple Labs also had a short-lived 2013 giveaway of under 200 million XRP (0.2% of all XRP) with some of the amount given to charities such as the Computing for Good initiative, which began offering XRP in exchange for time volunteered on research projects.[114] As of March 2015, 67% of Ripple Labs's original 80% was still retained by the company,[110] with Ripple Labs stating that "we will engage in distribution strategies that we expect will result in a stable or strengthening XRP exchange rate against other currencies."[115] In May 2017, to alleviate concerns surrounding XRP supply, Ripple committed to place 55 billion XRP (88% of its XRP holdings) into a cryptographically-secured escrow. The escrow will allow them to use up to 1 billion monthly and return whatever is unused at the end of each month to the back of the escrow queue in the form of an additional month-long contract, starting the process all over.[116][113] The amount of XRP distributed and their movement can be tracked through the Ripple Charts website.
That means they can do WHATEVER they want to the price, which makes me a bit wary. Even coins where the founders withhold 10% bother me, because 10% of, say Bitcoin, would be a ridiculous amount of money. The holders of XRP have FAR MORE in their accounts...

I do hope you all continue to make money on it, just know what you are investing in.

With the recent turn in XRP, I wouldn't be the least surprised to wake up tomorrow morning and see it over $1 if the Japan thing goes well. I would have thought when it was announced that it was maybe going to go up at most to .50 AFTER.

Let 'em ride.

Thanks to Ajit Pai, when Net Neutrality gets dismantled ISP will likely charge us boat loads to even hit our Crypto$ Exchanges. Off topic, but **** FCC and Ajit Pai.

Based on what I saw in the AMA #3 I posted (I think, I watch a LOT of videos ), the information packets will be indistinguishable from other packets on the network. Unlike Tor packets, which can be distinguished and blocked, the only way to shut down SUB would be to shut down the internet.

I don't see any other browser to use... It works with Chrome, Firefox, etc.

Correct. That is the best thing about SUB and gives it a ton of potential. All that is required to run it is a script that you install on your machine. At that point, it can run freely on any browser and will be completely stealth, even to deep packet inspection. The other HUGE benefit is that, unlike all other attempts at this, it does not require one to modify the address. An example is maidsafe where to enter its network you must type, Company.maidsafe.com. This is a show stopper for most companies.
Once this gets started it will be impossible to stop its use at the current time.

I don’t know why you would sell that and I was also knocked on for wanting it. It’s an actual business providing services and solutions for the banking industry. In my opinion and limited knowledge, seems like it’s one of the few coins that make actual sense. I just sold half my position on the 80% pop.

Default Question

There are a lot of articles around that say

"If I'd bought bitcoin at $1,000 I'd have $17,000 now."

But would you? Or, would you likely have sold at $2,000, $5,000, or something less than $17,000.

I did something bitcoin-like back at the beginning of the banking crash. I bought a major bank at $.98/share.
It's now around $75. But, I don't own it anymore. I sold out at $20.
I was happy with the $20 for sure, but ...

I have a co-worker that bought 5 BTC back when they were $100 each. He sold them all just after it hit 10K. He's still happy with his decision.

I sold some of my BTC when my lady pressured me into it at 1300 (bought in at 220). Now she's kicking herself. I'm not selling anything anymore, unless it's time to pay for my retirement house in Tuscany.

I'm hodling what I have. I put a finite amount into everything I hold and won't be a penny more nor withdrawing until the end. What's done is done. It's been a fun ride and whatever happens, happens.

I won't touch it until either a) it goes back down to my initial investment b) I can use it to retire comfortably and fully on (in addition to other resources) or c) it becomes absolutely necessary to (I can use what I have now to pay off some bills, but I can afford the bills now anyways, so no big deal).

The end goal is a house, someplace warm. Which would be amazing considering how relatively little I put into it. I have a friend that put in "a substantial bit more than I" around the same time. Let's just say that he's made enough that 2-3 of his kids college educations have been paid for already (and the oldest hasn't hit 10 years old yet). I just didn't have the same starting capital that he had.

I think I'd be happy with 9900% return, sure 15900% is better but that's today.

Same, no plans on withdrawing. Might put another couple hundred in. Hoping to just forget about it for 10-20 years.

With that in mind, would it be best to transfer everything to a hardware wallet?

Yes, for long term storage, ABSOLUTELY.

I will re-evaluate my position once I am long. That's pretty much June, because I was moving stuff around when the initial boom happened. I will look at what I have long in June, and PERHAPS I will cash out 10% of my holdings to cover all or part of my seed money.

I am also done putting money in. I may redistribute some from big caps to interesting ICO's, but I will not be investing any more USD.

Good luck everynody. I think we have six months of rally left. The whole world is waking up to this, and currently only a few countries are really feeding volume. Other countries will continue to pile on as exchanges open around the world.

Default Hardware wallet

A hardware wallet is probably a good idea.

This article is kind of an interesting read about that.
