![]() thinking of getting the gruppe-s v2 header for the ol wrx. Any opinions on headers in general. things I need to be aware of when I do this? The only other engine/exhaust mod I have is the Cobb Stg 1 ecu reflash otherwise its the car is stock. Will I be able to get by w/out having the car tuned? I know I'll be adding a wee bit more turbo lag. Anyone have probs w/theirs?

![]() From what I have read, don't get headers unless you have engine management to tune for them. You'd be better off getting a Turbo Back exhaust.

![]() I don't think you'll notice much more power when you put on the headers either. I think it gives you more torque than anything but has to be tuned for that to happen. How about an uppipe and manual boost controller? Then you could up boost a little bit (not too much though till you get a Turbo Back). Just don't turn up boost till you get the cat out of the uppipe.

![]() i have a set of DN performance SS headers with built in up pipe on my car.
they are way overpriced (1300 ![]() ![]() aside from being a bitch to remove and reinstall, i love them. Makes the car sound like a friggin powerboat... i have stock headers on right now, with a catless up pipe (gutted stock) and a hks down pipe, stock center section and sti axle back. i love the sound with my DN headers. right now my car sounds like a wuss however. i have no idea what it does to my HP though, car does not feel really any slower right now with stock headers on, but i only took it up to 40 on the way home. sorry if i am not any help. |
