I've been having problems with my car at 5K RPM's and above. Below that the car seems fine. I've had plenty of CEL's...all leading to code P1544 (high exhaust temp). My dealer thought the problem was with the stock EGT sensor, since that was the only code they pulled. I dropped it off with them yesterday and they disconnected the stock EGT sensor. They thought that was the problem, but when I drove the car home...it still drove like crap.
My only mods are a BPM GT turboback and a Turbo XS BOV, and K&N.
Pretty much when I come close to 5K RPM's the car slows down and doesn't seem to pull as hard. Once, I hit 5K, the car starts to stutter and hesitate, and even starts bucking. I also have an EGT gauge and that starts to skyrocket. I mean it shoots right up to 1600 degrees. So, that makes me think that it's not getting enough fuel. That's what it feels like...
Anybody have this happen to them or have any ideas why it's doing this???
