Default Bugeye STi Limited in the Land of the Samurai

Badges came in for the trunk. Iím not one for the badge-less look.

Stopped by my usual shop to schedule an appointment to get a coat of clear sprayed on to help protect the carbon. Will have to protect it with some wax short term.

Finished up the last thing to do before spraying clear. The quick latches line up the trunk perfectly with body. I wanted to use aerocatch latches to match the hood, but they were just too big for where they needed to be.

My friend came down from Nara with his buddy on their bikes. So we went on a nice cruise.

Got her back last night.
The clear looks great. Really happy I sourced the correct badges as well. Looks great on the carbon.

Donít mind the morning dew.

That was all I had time for today before the rain came.

I really like the fitment of that. Iíd order one but shipping to the US will probably be ridiculous unfortunately

Probably. I think it has a similar fit to the CUSCO stuff around the dash area.

Hopped on Yahoo Auctions the other day for some new headlight and tail light housings bid on a nice set of each and won both. The headlight housings on the car have broken tabs where the front grill mounts and are yellowed, so I figured it's time to get some new ones. the rears also have some broken bits where the plastic meets the water drain return in the trunk, so might as well do everything.

I'm going to consult with my mechanic about how far I can go with smoked lenses on the tail lights and get away with passing inspection.

The new fronts are slightly foggy but would pass inspection no problem, but I'm going to polish them up and throw some clear coat with UV protection on them so it won't be an issue in the future.

They make a smoked overlay for the reveres light/signal section only that looks better then smoking out the whole taillight

You may also like the jdm smoked led fender side signals. I just got a set. They donít pop up very often and I believe theyíre discontinued but a nice touch if you come by a set. Probably more likely over there

Yeah, that may be something to consider. Thanks for the tip!
I've seen the smoked side signals as well, but I'm not looking to replace those at the current moment.

Went on a drive with family up to the UFO Skyline, where Toyota recently filmed a Corolla commercial. I think Nissan has as well in the past.

This just in:

LM 090 17x7.5 +48
A little curb rash on 3 of the 4, but not bad at all. Got them for a nice price on Yahoo Auctions too.

Weíre doing a father and daughter wheel cleaning day tomorrow. I need to get them balanced. I noticed some of the weights had been removed.

Yeah, they're not in too bad of shape. Curb rash on most and a tiny amount of chipped paint on 2. But that's par for the course with used wheels and tires.

Can't wait to put them on in the spring.

My all time favorite wheels!!!

Will these clear brembo's in that offset though or will you need to run spacers?

My favorites as well. Actually, I like the V7 wheels a lot and probably wouldn't put another besides LMs on.

I will have to run a spacer regardless of the offset because the center design won't clear the front Brembos. Rears clear just fine. So I ordered some 5mm spacers that should be here tonight. So the wheel will have 10mm poke overall compared to V7 wheels. Should still clear the rear fenders without rolling, but we'll see.
