Default "Spotted" Sticky

Since there are so few of us, I was thinking we should have a spotted sticky where you can post a Baja sighting. They have one in the NESIC forum, seems pretty popular.

Default 60 K sighting

Yesterday, early morning I dropped the Baja off at the garage for the 60 K mauling. Then, walked home to do some work. At noon I let the dog out, and he looked at me quizically, then bolted out to the yard and down the street. So, I followed. When I came around the front of the house, there was my Baja parked out front! I definitely did a double take, and was about to call the garage on the cell phone to ask them what the %*^$ they were doing driving my car around on personal business when I noticed a small decal on the bumper. "Who put that sticker on my car?", I wondered......oh....maybe...maybe this isn't my car after all. Maybe someone else actually bought a silver Baja Sport.

Right in front of the house...who'd a thought it?

i actually saw two baja's over the past few days, one was a guy that goes to ODU (I think I've met him, but never got to see his baja), and the other was a black and silver one in Va Beach that I did not recognize, this thing had a sweeeeet front bull bar / brush guard / whatever with some sweet hella's on it, also had a nice roof mounted cargo basket of some sort... I sure would like to know where he got that front bar from.

Garnet and silver parked at All Seasons Dry Cleaners in Peabody. I think it's the same one that frequents the $2.50 pizza night on Tuesdays at Danvers House...

Spotted a Silver Turbo in West Salem, OR. Waved, but it was dark. My son and I have a great time looking for other Bajas while driving around.

We almost need a "double secret" hand wave.

Yellow 'o3 w/ ARE top in matching Yellow spotted today in Danbury at the mall. Drove by looked at me and kept driving without comment even as I flashed lights and let out my patented "hang loose" gesture. Oh well......

Subaru Stars Spotted Bajas? I'd be posting practically everyday........

Bajas may not be common, but they are not that much of a rarity around here in western Maryland. Just the other day I saw two while running around town in mine and I probably average 2 to 3 "sightings" a week - and I only average about 100 miles of driving per week. Greetings between Baja drivers, however, have been non-existent.

So I went to Harrisonburg this weekend and I swear its Baja Mecca. I saw about FIVE different Bajas. Two were blue (Same color as mine), two were red and grey, and a I think I saw two grays ones, but they might have been the same guy.

This morning, a black and silver parked at the foot of Dick's Sporting Goods lot in Danvers, MA. The driver's side was pretty well caved in... made me gasp out loud!

Went on a road trip to the san francisco area and saw a couple Bajas.
1) Silver baja going South on the I-5 near Button Willow, cargo basket on top
I was North bound in a silver Baja Turbo.

2) On the 580 near Livermoore there was a blue baja exiting...

I saw a burgundy/silver Baja on 211 W and took the 229 S turn today around 12:30. They'll probably never see this sticky--they looked to be older. Around 60 years old.

Your first mistake was spelling Baja with an "h" I had an '85 BRAT and I think even back then Subaru suggested 90 octane on all their models. Maybe it's a Subaru thing. What kind of MPG are you getting? I have a turbo which requires 93 octane, and I get 20MPG--most of my driving is short trips back and forth, but the sticker should've told you approximately the MPG to expect.
Start a new thread other than this one we're in--this one's for spotting Baja's. Then more people will see it and can answer you better about what kind of mileage they're getting and what you can expect. Let us know some more info.

Default Silver Baja (non-turbo) in Downingtown/Thorndale PA

It was late this morning (1-13-2006). I was in my Atlantic Blue '06 Baja Turbo, hauling some furniture today, and passed a Silver Baja (non-turbo) at Rt340 and Hazelwood Ave. We waived at each other.

Was that you, Kev M ??

The best was in Rome NY of all places, I was all happy just got my 06 atlantic blue, and as I was going thru the traffic circle, another 06 baja same color entered from the other side of the circle. I swear we both almost drove off the circle thinking WTF are you doing in this town!!
