My 2005 STi has started to get a little long in the tooth and is showing some signs of wear and tear. Among it's symptoms the rear struts have begun to clunk and I'm looking at options to replace them. I have a connection that has a set of 2018 Type RA Bilstein struts for sale for half the price of of any other solution I've seen, but I haven't been able to really find any information about compatibility.
I know the 2005 STi suspension isn't compatible with contemporary 2002-2014 WRX suspension with 5x100 bolt pattern, but the 2018 Type RA and the 2005 STi both share 5x114.3 bolt patterns. Additionally side by side the struts look identical to the '05 OEM strut images online.
Does anyone know if these will swap in or if there's a place to get more authoritative information (like specs for the geometry or other factors that would inhibit compatibility)?
