I like the lowered concept, but it seems their's is in the beginning stages. It needs to be smoother, no roof rack, push the wheels out a smidgen, better color wheels, ect. A good start I think.

It would look way too ugly with that bodykit

Get rid of that molding and it will look better.

It looks like it's wearing a skirt with all that cladding (and I don't mean sideskirts!). I guess that's a problem inherent with any Baja/Outback though.

The grilleless front end reminds me of a Nissan Frontier/Xterra.

Yeah, too 'kombat-ish,' doesn't go well with the multiple lines already on the plastic sides of the Baja.

Has anyone taken the caldding off one? It seems a natual firs tmod to me, yet I've never seen one. Is the sheet metal underneath clean enough to get away with it?

Mine is at the body shop now getting fixed(wife hit deer). I work next door so I go and visit it often. Without the flares and side cladding it looks narrow, and naked. I suppose some people might like that look especially if it were lowered.

Can you get some "in process" pics? I'm very curious.

Yup, I'll bring the camera tomorrow.
I looked at it again today...
New front fender on, one new door skin, one door gone, the rear bed cladding was off, that door cladding was off, and the front fender cladding off. It looks like A$$ minus all the cladding. A butt load of holes because the cladding pops on with plastic plugs. The exterior metal takes a dive bomb inwards as it goes down to the bottom, just below the cladding line. Hopefully I can get some pics before they bolt anything else on, they are flying on the repairs.

Thanks for trying. Looks like you'll be needing it with the weather up there.

Good luck and be safe.
