Post What Exhaust do you have?

I am looking for a new exhaust for my car. I currently have the Brospeed cat back which was an accessory that I had the dealer include. Now, I want something louder, but not obnoxious. Any suggestions? I am hoping that I could meet a few people in the DC, Baltimore area to hear the various exhausts before I invest 500-600 dollars on it. I see that some of you meet on weekends. What is going to be the biggest gathering of various Impreza exhausts, and who has what exhaust? Thanks...Rob "GQ"

Stromung Dual Tip, Has balls but has a mellow tone. Spend the money and buy the Stainless Steel if your interested in this cat-back.

We meet every Friday at a place in downtown Herndon if you want to come check it out.

I have a Stromung. Most of the other people in the area have one too.

Apexi N1 muffler with 2.5 dia Rallispec SS piping, cat-back. Probably falls into the obnoxious category for most people (not me ). However, Rallispec is supposedly using Magnaflow mufflers for there systems now. Not that they wouldn't weld you up a N1 can (you'd probably have to buy the can from someone else, they had problems getting them from Apexi)to the current piping. Will set of car alarms in parking garages.

Bob O-

I set off an alarm in a garage with my Stromung. It was a little piece of crap '80 something Civic done up with just about every part that TrakAuto stocks for your customizing needs. I started laughing so hard I almost wet myself.

3 inch downpipe and 2 highflow cats, after the cats it is 3 inch pipe all the way to the rear, no muffler, no resonator, just pipe. It really isn't that loud. At idle you cna stand next to the back of the car and have a quite conversation. When reved it does get loud but still deep and mellow. I have not attracted any attention from the powers that be and when in traffic next to a cop you can keep off the pedal and be as quite as a Stromung.

I had a ScoobySport on my 99RS, The sound was nasty! Most folks expect to see a suzuki GSX-R coming down the road when they hear it! the best part is backing off the gas at about 2-3K rpms. It pops and burps just like the sound on the WRC Cars on Speedvsion. Now I have a Prodrive WRS on my 02 WRX. Its much taimer but still sounds cool. My wife said the sccobysport would wake up the kids when I got home late at night so I went w/ something a bit quieter this time.
