looks more like fender or that is one smooth curb. At least now you have an excuse to refinish them.

JON-E25WRX I'd like to see a little more of the car. Can you pull back some of that contrast?

You just have to remember that bugeyes are gonna start showing their age...just like any other car. And just like any other car they have their strengths and their weaknesses. Scions were built pretty recently so the wear is gonna be less, obviously. Scions are nice cars. I almost bought one a while back(a tC). You'll be able to have a different kind of fun in a Subaru though. I've owned a lot of cars and when I bought my bugeye(my first Subaru) 2 years ago I was instantly sold for the rest of my life. lol I can push the car hard and it takes it like a champ with no issues. They're tough cars and can take a beating as long as you keep up with the maintenance. If the motor goes out, just do a swap to a better engine. The 2.0 motors in the bugeye leave a little to be desired but you can still have a blast. Trust me. Autocross is the funnest thing i've ever done with a car. If you're worried about the motor, pull the stock EJ20, sell it, and buy an EJ207 or an STi 2.5 swap. You can also upgrade the tranny from the stock 5 speed to the stronger STi 6 speed. If you don't go that route then that's fine...go stage 2 power, get some coilovers, 27mm sway bars w/ solid endlinks, sticky tires, and upgrade to stage 2 braking and it'lll feel like a whole new car with the right ECU tune and handling adjustments(alignment and stuff). Don't really know what else to say about bugeys as far as "watch out for this, watch out for that..." If/when you buy one find someone/people who live around you who are very knowledgeable(and trustworthy) about Subarus. Have them go over everything with a fine tooth comb to locate any problems right off the bat. Just take it one day at a time and learn as you go. Take the car into the nearest Subaru dealer and have the mechanics accomplish the scheduled maintenance for however many miles are on it. Timing belts need to be changed around 80-85,000 miles, I believe. Watch out for the cat in the stock up pipe...after a certain amount of miles it can break apart and tear **** up. Hope I helped shine some light on the subject a little.
