NJ: 2004 WRX WRB Wagon with STI longblock+ Trans, 118k, $9,900 (price dropped 8/14)
Year, Make, Model: 2004 Subaru WRX Wagon
Location: [Williamstown, NJ] Price: $ 9,900 obo (price dropped 8/14) Mileage: 118,030 Transmission: 07 STI 6-speed trans (no DCCD) Pictures: https://imgur.com/user/megatonbomber?nid=719448843 Video: Description and Mods: I have owned this car since brand new back in May 2004. I have almost all work receipts for the car. The car has been garage kept except for the two years it served as my daily driver during which it accumulated the vast majority of its mileage. The motor build has approximately 10K on it. The trans has roughly 70K on it and shows no signs of slowing down. Clutch is solid. The car has only been driven roughly 500 miles a year for the past five years. I just don't have time to drive it anymore, hence the sale. If you have any questions, feel free to post here or text me. No phone calls please unless we arrange it via text first. Thanks! G-Force Comp2 All season 225/45 R17 were installed on 7/4/17 and have under 500 miles on them. 07 STI Trans Stage 1 Clutch Short throw shifter 07 STI long block-Done by AREA1320 CP 100 mil pistons Covert Performance oil pick up tube Cosworth headgasket P&P VF-43 Perrin Lightweight Pulley v7 JDM STI intercooler STI Heavy Duty Timing Belt Tial 38mm EWG Ultimate Racing up pipe GFB Stealth Blow off valve Bosal TBE modified to fit with EWG QTP Exhaust cutout Front and rear strut bars P&P Throttle body DW 750cc Injectors 2Pot WRX rear brakes with KartBoy adapter 4POT WRX front brakes Grimmspeed boost control solenoid Throttle body coolant bypass mod SPT Intake and Heatshield Perrin Turbo Inlet 2nd gen Samco radiator hoses Samco intercooler hoses TGV eliminated P&P crossover pipe R180 STI Rear LSD mated to Hybrid Legacy GT Spec-B axles with WRX ends. I have the stock 3rd cat which I will give to the buyer. When swapping out the 3rd cat, disconnection of the wiring for the QTP exhaust cutout (which is welded into aftermarket 3rd cat) is necessary for the swap. The pictures and video don't really show it but there are very minor dings and scratches normal for a vehicle of this age. Contact Info: text only please 856-625-7795

There are no pictures of your car at the link that you posted. I'm interested, and would like to see more pictures.

Does anyone know why this STI longblock has a silver intake manifold and not the powdered red like the rest of the older STIs? I spoke with the owner who isn’t sure as well and wanted someone to chime in with some clarification on this. Did they make some USDM STIs with a silver manifold? Is there some type of mfr marking on the manifold or diameter specs of the piece to decipher if it is in fact an STI or WRX manifold? Thanks in advance

"One of the most common questions we receive at iWire is "Is my engine Drive by Wire or Cable Throttle," so we've decided to post the definitive list! This list is also useful if you are looking into an engine swap so you can confirm which setup your new engine has. What is it? Cable Throttle - If your car is cable throttle that means there is a mechanical cable that runs direct from the pedal to the throttle body to open (to accelerate) and close it (to slow down). Drive by Wire (DBW) - If your car is DBW that means there are electrical wires that connect the pedal to the throttle body via the engine computer (ECU) so when you push the accelerator pedal the ECU interprets the signal and tells the throttle body to open or close. Which Cars Are Cable Throttle? Baja Non Turbo - All model years Forester Non Turbo - 2004 and older Forester XT Non Turbo - 2003 and older Legacy GT Non Turbo - 2004 and older Legacy Non Turbo - 2004 and older Subaru Impreza Non Turbo - 2004 and older USDM STi - 2003 and older USDM WRX - 2005 and older JDM WRX and STi - 2006 and older Which Cars Are Drive By Wire? Thank you much for the very insightful and elaborate answer. Much appreciated. Now I know it is in fact the WRX intake manifold. Out of curiosity would this give any more/less power gains let’s say in an under 500hp setup? |

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can chime in because I can't answer that question.
