Question Sorry this might be a stupid quesiton but please don't flame me.

Hi people,

Sorry this might be a retarded quesiton but I was wondering what does it take for a stock WRX to keep up with a Greddy Turboed Civic SI. Considering that the SI has a civic type R intake cams in, aem timing gears, aem pulleys, of course greddy Turbo kit with front mount intercooler (think its a type 34 intercooler), greddy fuel injectors and fuel pump, and boosting 5 psi? I mean what modification do you have to do to a stock WRX to keep up with this Turboed SI? Thank you, any info is deeply appreciated, again pardon my ignorance on this board.

the civic would be faster if it had the stock cams! you will probably need a Turbo xs stg 4 or vishnu stg 2 to run with him, or rather pass him.

An exhaust and boost controller. The civic should be in the mid to high 13s. We have 3 of them at the shop. 13.3 best time. That is with 7lbs.

Lightbulb

Thanks people keep the info coming! WOW I didn't know that just doing a catless downpipe, exhaust, boost controllers, and a uppipe can do that much.... I thought it would take more than those parts to keep up with the above described Truboed CIVIC SI.......

We talkin 1/4 mile or 70 punch? Exhaust + boost will get you close, if not surpass his 1/4 #s, but 70 rollon will take a little more. How much weight removal has he done?

dont do a rolling start.

The weak point of a civic is that its front wheel drive and very hard to get traction for a launch. In a rolling start, you basically help him get the traction he needs.

I am a WRX and Civic owner. Believe me, I know
