Isn't there some rumor of the Dodge Demon being reborn??? I seem to remember a Concept Miata fighter a few years back.

They are just whoring it up with the throwback names, arent they? Its like skittle kids bringing back splatter paint clothing and wayfarers. Its stupid and ridiculous as hell but people just seem to eat it up.....I just dont get it

The number names are retreads too
And, "up to" 300 lbs lighter? That doesn't seem that much considering the shrinkage in dimensions and a possibly smaller motor. But I could be wrong |

I wonder how much worse Chrysler's reliability will get using all of these Alfa models.

Fiat understands "Add lightness". Let's hope it boils down to the Cuda and the car comes in with the same kind of capabilities, if not better, than the Mustang, and lighter.
That would be really nice. Yet, it's an uphill climb and I doubt Ford is shaking in their Shaker Hoods. --kC |

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...da-future-cars If it shrinks as much or more than Car&Driver is rumoring, and looks anything like that rendering, it will be much more compelling than the elephant that is Challenger. Camaro is rumored to be departing from the Zeta platform, and possibly moving to a modified version of the Alpha platform that underpins the Caddy ATS, and similarly shrinking in size and weight. Mustang for 2015 is rumored to lose bulk and weight as well. All good news, as far as I am concerned. Now if someone would just put out a competitor to those that has AWD, a 100hp/liter H6, and a manual or automated-clutch gearbox choice... |

Smaller Camaro, smaller Mustang, smaller Cuda...Kind of throws them a little "closer" to being in direct competition with the BRZ. Only saying this because so many compared the BRZ , at its release, to the Mustang. Now if they are closer in size and have more power and handle better than their predecessors, I can see a reason to cross shop.

As for the Demon, this is what you're referring to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Demon_Concept I would love that car if it came with the SRT4 motor. |

So it can be brief. just simply: 'too expensive'. Or 'not affordable' if you prefer. |

More compelling to you, you mean. My dad bought a Challenger last year based upon the fact that an adult could actually sit behind another in the car for longer than 5 minutes and still be comfortable. We tried the Mustang, Genesis Coupe and the Camaro, and none of them had that same capability. Different strokes for different folks, man.

And if I had to ride in any of them for an extended period, I think I'd take the Challenger. |

I like their idea. Instead of a new Challenger every cycle, just release another retro.
