![]() Alright here's my question if I get the 3582 gtx what ar should I run to hit 500whp, .63 or .82? I have 264 cams and can I turn the rpm limit to 8500?

![]() .82 should do it. Do you have upgraded valve springs and retainers as well? How about rod bolts? When I had my block built I was told arp 2000 are good for 8k and above that you'd want arp +625 but that was for an ej257. The ej207 has an 8k rev limit right? You could always up the rev limit and see if it still makes power past 8k. Why not try the 3576r though like other people have suggested?

![]() 3576 Gen 2 is worth looking into if you aren't going G series. I have one in my garage, it's a great turbo.
G30 770 should beat it for spool though .82 will hold power up top longer |

![]() Does not share the same TW specs as the aforementioned G30 770.
G30-770: Compressor: 58mm/71mm Turbine: 60mm/55mm 5862G: Compressor Wheel: 58mm/71mm Turbine Wheel: 68/62mm And what do ya know? Almost exactly as I stated, the knock off comes in at most of the cost of the real unit. Quote:
Up to the user if those savings are worth receiving worse support, and experiencing overall lowered performance. Last edited by K3rm1tth3fr0g; 05-25-2023 at 03:58 PM. |

![]() I know it's not the same turbine wheel, that's why I think it's an interesting turbo. Similar to the 3576 gen ii but with a smaller exducer on the compressor vs the g35-900 which is the successor and has a larger inducer in comparison to the 58/76 wheel on the 3576. Garrett doesn't offer that specific wheel combo. Also, can show me where you can buy a G30-770 for $1800? Because all I can find are supercores for that price.

Here is the turbo I have now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006332113?hash=item288395ead1:g:jw4AAOSwFpddX3M 4&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAABAE6YKQz5eMB2ezHPP%2BdRiVTSZ MHITCmCYWhrUJqLrBR0wswLtkvxe%2FUEg4G30IYnLhxN%2Bt1 Slt6I400YkE1joS0mOGICH%2BrVpbJbpfgFBJxrXV%2BpPW3YF HuouVRM8LZjdM%2B6%2FxTdC7RYfhhvNcL6QUnbXOGvRoyE2bW KAAfWf7ldw1G6toWIH41NfVzzqzz1J4TGE4L3zvFLYO05chIvh hE3aq%2B4cfQM84CgZHkh3mVIu%2FRZLPT4QlebzqhE0K7WVGx 8t7UPtBSjShlri2VzE2fN8%2FUW6ONHKk%2Br7gvQzE53wqrQH 41GQECVFQe9XypjpJZbUjU4VETH%2BDKgfbJvzY4%3D%7Ctkp% 3ABFBMypryzopi Like fuji said I don't think the 3576 will hit 500whp unless I use 30psi of boost. Figured if I'm going to get a bigger turbo the next step up is 35r. |

![]() How about a G35-900 clone from that same company? Or is that too pricey? Similar flow-wise to the 3582 but more efficient.

![]() You can make it fit with adapters. OP has a rotated setup though.

I remember Killer B was working on a Spoolinator for the G series but they said that the housing had extra features that stopped it from fitting. I don't know which G series turbo that was for. Maybe another company makes a housing that would work? |

![]() Yeah I haven't seen any compact housings for G-series turbos yet. That doesn't mean you can't make a turbo with a 4 inch inlet fit though. I am currently running a 3576r gen II using adapters on the inlet, up-pipe, and downpipe. It just depends on how willing you are to grind at your block until it fits which most people probably aren't comfortable with.

Go ahead, keep on buying the knock offs. Companies like Garrett who actually develop new product will just stop. I've seen it happen to plenty of small aftermarket companies who were the innovators. The knock-offs drove them out of business and then people complain there's no new products coming out for their cars. Has Borg Warner done anything since EFR? I saw a Pulsar knock-off of a GTX which has a very distinct turbine housing feature. I guarantee you Pulsar has no clue why Garrett made that feature; Pulsar just 3d scanned and copied. |

![]() Ok guys I'm bored of the 3076, I think I have it narrowed down. I'm going to get a 3582r, my question is what ar should I get for the 2.0l, .63 or .82?
The gtx gen 2 .82 3076r doesn't make full boost till almost 5k. I'm thinking a gtx 3582r gen 2 with a .63 will give me more top end and keep my spool about the same, thoughts? I'm also debating whether i should get the gtx or the regular gt3582r. My old .63 gt3076r made full boost around 4.2k without the cams. And would it be possible to safely turn my rev limiter up to 8500? I have beehive springs and 264 cam and arp 625, but stock bottom end. Motors been going strong with stock 5 speed tranny for 4 years but I don't track it. Let me know your guys thoughts of what variant 3582r I should get. Has to be t3 with 4 bolt exhaust housing. I think I'm pretty set on the gtx3582r .63 but wondering what you guys thought. Will it hit 500whp on 25psi? Also if anyone knows a solid dyno tuner in south jersey let me know. ![]() I think that the gtx 3582r gen 2 with the .63 will meet your goals.
I would try upping the rev limiter and see if it still makes power past 8k, 264 cams might not make power that high up. The .82 from the 3076 will not fit the 3582, they have different turbines. Turbine housings are pretty cheap though if you want to switch to a larger one. |
