Default Reflashed - cranking seems to take longer now/rougher idle

Guys, i don't got logs, but i hope this is a simpler ask.

My typical rom on a JDM EJ205 + VF48 + STI 565 injectors

I took some tables from another map that is also based on a high compression JDM EJ205 and I rewrote those to my map:
-Boost Targets
-Ignition Timing
-OL AFR Targets
-AVCS

There is significantly more power everywhere which i suspect is the timing and the AFR map is a lot smoother than what I had before. Driving in and out of boost and the AFRs seem to be ok. I'll be adjusting the WGDC and boost targets after a bit more driving on this.

I know i am not giving you guys a lot of info here, but the real only thing i noticed thats a negative is the cold cranking was a bit rougher than normal. Im waiting for the engine to cool for the next start but considering i didn't change anything to the cranking tables, what could be causing this?

Idle is still the same and was also not adjusted.

How many cold starts since the reflash?
Very common for many cars to take a bit to "fine learn" after a......
Reflash
CEL clear
Battery disconnect
Dead battery

The first start can be worse as the ECU figures out crank vs. cam timing, it cranks longer.

Thats encouraging.

This was the very first cold start on the new map and first ignition on the new map.
I had flashed a few dozen times now just tuning up my existing map and the last few were all on a warm engine, so this a harder start than usual to the point where I turned it back and waited a sec try again.

My AVCS table top left corner few cells are now at 0.00 and i wonder if it all in full retard is taking a hit. I know the stock table is about 14.xx in that upper corner bunch of cells.

Car feels really good tho and I didn't even get past 5200 rpm, gotta love these JDM EJ205s + AVCS + 94 octane..

Mine would always take a some extra cranking, and stumble a bit at idle, the first few startups after flashing. As Charlie said, just seems to take a little while to "relearn" everything and settle back in.

It takes a few complete rotations upon the first time starting for the ECU to analyze the crank and cam position sensors so it can get its bearings on where everything is at. That's probably the biggest factor in the initial long crank after a reflash or reset.

^ something like that, but not.

after reflash, it takes a couple extra seconds from initial ecu power on before it's ready for fuel injection. if you crank during this time, you get an empty motor, cranking.

put it into accessory, let it sit for a couple seconds before cranking, after reflashing.
