Default Factories disagree with wideband?

My 2005 outback has 2 parallel front o2 (one on each EL header) and a wideband pre cat. The 2 front read leaner than the wideband by like 1 full point in open loop. The front 2 both read very similar to one another.

The weird thing is this started happening after I replaced one of the front factory o2s. I hesitate to even mention it because I don’t see how it could tie in.

So previously I might be in the low 11s at WOT , the fronts and wideband would be pretty close and now the wideband is pegged 10:1

Any thoughts on which to trust or how to get them back to “normal”?

i would trust the WB at WOT not the factory sensors. the factory o2 generally gets pegged at 11.1-ish depending on backpressure (turbo). since yours in NA (i think? ) they will pretty much flatline at 11.1- 11.2 even if the engine is pig rich. what kind of WBo2 is it?

if one of the front o2s is reading off it can throw off the AFR even if the reported value from the sensor is saying "14.7" or whatever it might be.

Interesting ok. It’s a relatively new AEM wideband. No reason to think there is a problem with it. I think you’re right - when it’s in OL I probably just need to ignore the factories. No Turbo ,it’s a NA-supercharged.

beond about 12.5:1 the factories wont cut it. in CL all of the sensors should be very close though.
