Open mind 1/4 mile racing....
I just registered to post the video of Al goin 12.0, and read some of other threads especially regarding others cars..
And basically... alot of you have the WRX is the all mighty car mentality that can't be beaten... Please remeber the all mighty quote "There is ALWAYS someone faster then you" Just because you drive a specific car and might love it don't bash other cars cause you think it's better is pointless and makes you look narrow minded... Most of these comments come based on the wrx vs vr6 posts. Because some of the post were just bias and retarded.. There are plenty of quick vr6's especially on the east coast, including my own. Even when it was all-motor.. But there are also slow vr6's.. Just like every other car i could regular take videos of wrx running 14.8 and slower i even saw one run 15.5 and no it didn't miss any gears.. But on the flip i've seen stock WRX run 14.1 with people who drive the car hard.. But remeber if your racing from a roll it's trap speed that wins the race cause the ever so import AWD 60ft is now out of the question. Take this with a grain of salt.. Tim |

You just had to bring up that VR6 garbage thread again huh? You KNOW what's gonna happen...
How the hell can I cram this god damn thing in you peoples (VW) head... stock for stock, the VR6 loses on all counts, I've TESTED it and I KNOW the facts. Hell, a lot of peeps can kick my a$$ in POS Civics, but I don't care 'cause I haven't modified to their level, a 323 GTX can kick my a$$ but again I haven't modded to his level. Stock for stock, the VR6, the Civic and the GTX lose on all counts THAT was the idea. Hell, I've seen MANY VR6s runs OVER 16s but I don't give a rats a$$. Quote:
So... instead of trying to prove a point that we've all been through, leave it be and go to your precious Vortex... 'cause it LITERALLY "sucks" |

I wasn't talkin about the winner, but the comments made about the vr6...
And duh.. i sure hope a 227hp awd wrx can whoop a stock 172hp fwd gti... If anyone was contesting that then they are an idiot.. I like i said it was just a general statement...that people need to have open minds... And you with your pos civic obviously don't really. but whatever just kinda proved my point.. Tim |

Did I miss something?
The WRX is a superior car stock, no? If so why argue about modified vr6's? Mod for mod the WRX will still be in the lead, no? And how about a wrx running 13.5@97 with an mbc and an air filter. can you do that in a vr6? [deans home furniture voice] I doubt it! [/deans voice] How auto-xing, rallying, hillclimbing... etc? Wheres ur vr6 now? Go to the Civic board or something. Where you might actually have a case to argue. ~v6 |

He's just insecure about his VR6 purchase, and wants to feel like he bought the better car... which he most deffinetely didn't. Like was already stated....
WRX-Stock ............. VR6-Stock Faster WRX-Stock ............. VR6 w/Mods Faster WRX-$500 upgrades ............ VR6-$500 upgrades Faster WRX/VR6-Any same amount of money spent upgrades..... WRX is FASTER/HANDLES BETTER!!!!! I OWN YOU ITSUKIVR6!!!!! |

AWD 60ft's or from a roll...YOU LOSE! What is you VR6 driver's points? And please, would you VW trolls stay the hell out of here! |

This post is GHEY...
Other thing... fwd sucks There IS always someone faster, Who cares.. All vw owners are in depression that they spent the same money as we did and they just cant keep up period.. Friend has a gti and he is always in denial that the wrx is much better all the way around no matter how you look at it.. The only comment you can give to make us even think your right is out interior sucks.. PERIOD. Thats all any vw guy has on us. Yes our interior is not great but the money went into bigger better things ( awd, engine, suspension) :monkey: FWD,HOMO'S,IN DENIAL VW OWNERS:monkey: |

In the other thread, he says all the VR6 turbos are running 11's...that's faster than any WRX but one that I know of.
11's are real fast for street cars. Good Luck. |

Wow guys you are Pretty inteligent and oh so proved my point of the thread that you guys are SO SO narrowminded.
First off WRXGuy and DubbleRX care to race ... and i'll own your asses so easily...not even funny...then you can tell everyone how slow and crappy my vr6 is. But if you really want to get this into a vw/vr6 vs wrx debate i'll just have to enlighten some of the non-knowledgable other then the wrx .. Ok first off.. the time stock vs stock your comparing is the new heavier/slower vr6. corrados/and mk3 vr6 trap 92-94 mph stock.. still slower then wrx for sure.. and like i said stock for stock i sure hope a 227hp turbo wrx can beat a 172 hp n/a vr6.. never even a debate.. Now.... You say mod for mod, you cannot compare cheap mods on a turbo car to a n/a car, cause with any turbo car, all you have to do is raise the boost, run race gas to prevent detonation and 3in exhaust and your lookin at major gains no one is denying that. However why don't you compare a pare of stock turbo cars , the vw 1.8t vs wrx, dollar for dollar cheap mods same is gonna go for both manual boost controller or chip/3in dp/3in exhaust some race gas. A 1.8t with that setup even with out crappy fwd runs 13.5-13.8 @ 100-103 mph very comparible to the wrx.. and the traps are slightly faster the most i've seen. WRX Stock vs VR6 Mods... Hmm... my vr6 with cams/chip/exhaust/intake on street tires went 13.96 @ 99.5 and ran 14.0 @ 99.5 all day long.I dynoed 180whp/168lbstq, So um yea...VR6s no TQ ?? That walks stock wrx in my book... and yes there are plenty others besides me who can say the same.. But like i said before Hell yea, there are some slow ass vr6's, just as there are slower wrx... sometimes it driver... and sometimes it's just the engine not every motor is as strong as the next. Now you say big time mods vs big time mods My car has $6000 worth of engine mods...in my car..Now i know for a fact Al has more then $6000 into his wrx. And i will be running the same times as him.. with alot more mph ..No i don't have e/ts from my car but since i have the same setup as 3 of my friends i don't see any difference.. Car 1. goes 11.4 @ 125 on stock bottom end with a copper headgasket @ 18psi, At 15psi on 93 octane he dynoed 354whp/367tq. Car 2. went 11.74 @ 118 @ 14psi Car 3. went 11.69 @ 129, no traction 2.0 60ft, 15psi +75shot. Now we just got done building 3 cars, my car plus 2 others. who all have the same setups and each will be in the low low 12's to mid 11's range. and All 6 cars were/are street cars, as #2 has been returned to stock and sold and all but 2 are our daily drivers. So um yea the vr6 wins in that book. But basically you guys are trying to make it seem as if i am trying to prove the vr6 as a better car.. which just goes to show your insecurity about your cars... I love wrx as they handle great, can be made quick cheep. and are cheap costing. And TurboTa, the reason why WRX run a good 0-60 is AWD... VR6's have plenty oh torque... If you have any doubts about the above stated info, please refer to www.vwsport.com for videos. OR ask your own fellow I-Club member Onesillyracer2k.. or even Ask Al, as he should know about the above mention cars cause he's been there many a days that we have been racing. But yea If any of you WRX that race at E-Town who think your quick and wanna lineup drop me a line and i'll have no problems Tim |

You have proven your point and made all WRX owners look like fools. I am now giving away my WRX and buying a VR6. Thank you and please go back to your own board.

had to say it dood...I know your car is fast. I don't want to race you, my powertrain is stock and I don't plan on upgrading it in the future...I have respect for your cute car. My car is ugly and slow. AnimalMother |

Kapafool you are the fool...
Again why make such an idiotic post..are all WRX owners this STUPID?? please tell this is not so.. Didn't i just get done say that this has nothing to do with a vr6 is better then a wrx.. and actually according to what i just posted, you should be saying unless i want a super fast street car, i should sell my vr6 and get a wrx... but i guess reading comprehension wasn't mandatory in your school.. Hey whatever man... crack on the jetta all you want.. but considering cas 1 and 2 are both jetta's... that could go get grocerys pick up chicks then still go 11's.. well i'd have no problem with that. Any time, one of you ignorant posters wants to run it..just gimme a holla... perhaps then you'll just realize open mindedness Oh, and when i go back to my own board as you say.. perhaps i should delete the video of Al goin 12.0 cause wrx suck, and i'm some troll cause i think vr6's are the best car ever built right??? hehe, I know man...I was kidding and just had to say it.
I don't know where all of the arguments stem from...maybe some fools are just too close minded to like other types of cars. On the other hand, if your car has gold-plated spoke 13" reverse rims with feelers, I will be the first to argue! Regardless, this is just like the old Chevy vs. Ford arguments...basically pointless. You should post some pics of your car and engine work, I'd like to see them (and others as well I'm sure). I know you are happy with your car and most WRX owners are happy with ours. Different strokes, nothing wrong with that. AnimalMother |

F00l, it's like me going to your POS Vortex and saying to 10000 people that VW people are all gay and they think there cars are the *****... I think I'd get the same reaction from them as you are from us.
You probably know (as all VW people should be aware) there's actually 10-12 sites out there that are half decent and they conducted a poll on what cars are the gayest ever... guess who won? Beetle in first position, Jetta in second and Golf in third... they're considered a mid-life crisis car and everytime I see one I can't help thinking to myself if the guy is gay or he thinks his overated VR6 is all that. Now get the fukk out loser, nobody cares about the point you're trying to prove... all you're doing is stirrin' up *****. |

BS on the 6k in mods and running low 11's. Sorry dude, but that's a lie. Even if your turbo kits do cost that much money, you are still going to be spending cash on the drive train and such. Don't forget those racing slicks too! Sorry, I owned a MkIII Vr6 and am well aware of the available aftermarket, the car's abilities, and how much it costs to make it go fast.
How many VW's running 11's again? And how many years has the VR6 been out in America? With the way you speak to us, being Mr. High and Mighty and all, I'm surprised you aren't cognitive to the fact that the WRX was just released in America and that it's still in it's developmental phases. Let's see how many WRX's will have an 11 sec timeslip in 10 years. I'd be willing to bet that it's more than a handful. One point you are trying to make is wrong too. The fact still remains that the WRX can go faster, cheaper. You quote that a 1.8t can go faster for less. WRONG. WRX's have run mid 13's w/ just a $5 MBC. Mod for mod, the Rex wins, period. And :monkey: you for coming on here and taking advantage of everyone’s lack of VW knowledge...and your name calling. Last edited by Dori Dori; 07-09-2002 at 09:26 AM. |

Not to mention he's running the 14's WITH nitrous..... If you took a WRX that can already do low 12's...(there's quite a few), and added a 50 shot of nitrous... THEN who would win???

Would you be happier if you saw more post like "I got my arse kicked by a mustang today" or "Got spanked by a Civic" or how about "my car is a slow P O S"?
My point of this reply is that of course your gonna see posts on an impreza forum about impreza's f'n sh*it up and whatnot. Can you honestly tell me that you don't see the same thing on any other car forum? It's all relative if you think about it |
