Default Outback Wilderness: Spy Shots

https://www.autoblog.com/2021/01/13/...ss-spy-photos/

Looks like the Wilderness edition is on its way and is riding high, with a skid plate, badging and hood graphics.

That's a high riding Outback. Based on the current Outback, one can only imagine the amount of black plastic hidden under that camo. Could the entirety of those panels be flat black plastic?

It looks like this will be the first VIZIV Adrenaline style cladding.

Can't have a WRX Wagon, but you can have all the plastic cladding you want.

Unless... they've included the air suspension from the Levorg? So they're testing it at max ride height?

Everyone knows that the 04-07 STi front fenders were cut higher than the rear quarter panels. It was/is a Rally inspired car based on Subaru's heritage in the motorsport. The additional front clearance is needed when you make jumps.

These are facts btw.

Maybe it's forced perspective, but is it taller than that Jeep?

It looks like it. But don't know if that is a standard suspension Jeep or one with quadra-lift.

at least the person is driving like a typical outback owner - unable to follow the lines on the road. Gotta make sure that jacked up suspension can handle the rumble strips, because we all know that's the most "wilderness" that 95% of these will ever see.

Guys I see driving giant trucks/jeeps/overlanders w/ baskets on the roof in my area are clearly trying to "add inches" if ya know what I mean. Starting to wonder if it really is some kind of masculine insecurity issue or deficiency. When form goes FAR beyond function, you have to start wondering

Are STI and similar sports car owners also compensating if they don't track their vehicles and use them to their full potential? Asking for a friend.

The reality is most people should be driving a Soviet Era car if we are really going to look at how much a vehicle is used to full potential.

Yup. Everyone has their own idea of what looks "cool" so therefore everyone is also entitled to their own opinion of what looks silly/stupid. I laugh at the guy in the FR-S with hella camber and covered in anime stickers as much as I laugh at the meathead in the big lifted truck that takes up 3 parking spots and thinks he's god's gift to women
