HOW TO: Photobucket Embed Images Fix

Hey everyone,

Even though, I rarely post here anymore, I am fully aware how useful this website is to others. NASIOC as a community has taught me so much, and I'm happy to be a part of it!

Such a shame that photobucket has taken years worth of useful information and research away from enthusiasts in MANY hobbies across the internet. A lot of the writers (like myself) have had twists in their lives that take them away from these sites. Leaving "blanks" (photos) in write-ups across the internet. Shame.

Recently a friend showed me a Chrome extension that makes ALL photobucket images work across the internet.

Download HERE: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...flicjjgj?hl=en

After download, delete your "Cached images and files" as well as "Cookies and other site data". Now Photobucket images should work in your browser even if the photobucket user is not a PRO user.

I have placed a photobucket image below to test before and after.

Good post.
Fixes posted recently for a couple browsers, I know Chrome and FF.

Thanks for bumping, some won't search but look at what is current today.

When I started the thread the little auto search "there are similar threads like this" didnt show anything of the sort.

It should be a sticky though. Especially considering that there are a ton of posts in old content being necro'd that say "stupid photo bucket"

Would be a huge help to the community

Also apparently this extension needs updating fairly often so it makes sense to have it stickied!

I don't understand why you're having issues viewing Photobucket images (that are actually still stored there) if you've applied "the fix" (works great for me)... but having said that... yes, it's probably best if new images are uploaded to hosting sites other than Photobucket.

[EDIT] Apparently, there have been different Photobucket embedded image viewing "fixes" posted for Chrome. This one continues to work fine.

photobucket embed fix recently stopped working for me on both ff and chrome.

Just installed photobucket hotlink for ff which is working.

Yesterday phots from photobucket didn t show, today they show... Wish this site stored pic s like others do... Then right from laptop to site. I post more pics when it s not a pain and I m sure so do others. Hint.

Hmmm...seems to be working today. I saw some other Photobuckets on other sites that worked too. Seem to be the newer ones.

Thanks Vancouver98STi. I have been on this forum for three months and PB has been killing me the whole time. This fix works great! I went back to so many threads since the fix to see the pictures I couldn't before. Awesome. A picture is worth 10,000 words!

I just bought and coded this little site for us. 5mb image limits.

It uses coinhive, so hopefully it will pay for itself and I can keep it running.
