Sounds great! So which rotated kit did you end up deciding on? Still loving the corn juice?

I will be going with ETS. Probably will not happen until the end of summer. I will do everything else prior. I will also be getting the Aeromotive Fuel Rail kit and FPR.

Awesome that will be one hell of a ride. Hopefully the 465 will be enough pump. Are you going to hardwire it and up the base fuel pressure?

I just finally got around to the process west TMIC install. Went really well other than one bolt not wanting to thread. Ill be doing a write up for it.

At 465 that will be around 1800+ cc so it should be fine. Probably do ID2000 injectors. Mikey Botti will be doing the tune from here on out. The car is getting a little overgrown for etunes per Phatron's recommendations.

Yes I will hard wire it since I already have my DW300 hard wired.

Good choice on ID's! I wondered if that would be the case. Have you thought of going speed density? Or are you still planning to be MAF based?

Durr nvm that last part. I'm tired and fail at reading haha

I rewired my fuel pump like this with the ground from from the relay going straight to chassis.

I'll post pics when I get to my computer. But now I have a base pressure of 70 psi so I don't think the way I had the fuel set up before was really utilizing the pump to its fullest. Time for fuel lines and FPR.

Isn't that the standard way?

Which way is the standard way? Where the ground of the pump goes back to the FPC or where the ground of the pump goes to chassis?

I think the pump ground going to chassis and the Ground from the relay going to the FPC is the right way.

I thought grounding the relay to chassis was the normal setup. I'm not sure why yours wasn't working that way. I still need to do this one of these days. Do you have any photos of yours?

Originally I did what that one thread about wiring the fuel pump did. Basically cut the positive from the FPC to the pump. Run the relay positive to positive of fuel pump. Take the positive from the FPC to the relay as the switch. Ground relay to the chassis.

Why I think this is wrong and bad for the FPC is that the 20 amps or what ever the pump draws will go from battery to the pump and then back to the FPC. And because of this somehow my pump was not flowing as hard, idle at 43 psi which is normal.

Since I do not have a FPR right now I'm going to keep it like this.

But like the diagram I have posted, I think I is better to have the ground from the relay go back to the FPC. The amps going from the FPC to the relay and back to the FPC will be low and not harm the FPC. Then the pump will have the amps from the battery to pump and straight to chassis ground. This method made my pump prime like normal when you put the key in the on position. It would stop humming after a few seconds of priming. When I grounded the pump and relay to the chassis the humming would not stop. My idle pressure was 70 psi so it is clearly flowing more fuel no matter if I grounded the relay to the chassis or to the FPC.

I also got the P0230 code when I had the relay and pump grounded to the chassis. Which says the fuel circuit is damaged. Which I think is because the ground to the FPC is not connected.

It sounds like you may have had something hooked up incorrectly. Even when you just splice into the signal wire and ground the pump/relay directly to the chassis, the pump should only be on when the FPC sends the signal through the relay. If it's running 100% of the time, then something wasn't wired correctly. Grounding the relay through the OEM wiring seems like it would be fine, but it shouldn't be necessary.

The only thing I can think of since every thing else was the same is that I had both the pump and relay grounded to the same spot when I went to chassis. I think if I would have separated them then it may have worked fine. But I think I would still get the P0230 code this way.

Well the used IM I wanted wont be here in time for my fuel line swap so screw it. The BOV, EWG and rails are all red so I guess red in the engine bay will have to be it.

ETS says they are stenciling the FMIC and should have pics for me today. Really excited.
