Default Aetherfury Video - Nameless Performance Axleback Installed in 2011 Sedan

I figured I would post this over here too since I haven't seen a lot of sound clips for Nameless Performance. Of course what post of mine would be complete without a completely overdone video!

I am going to do the mid-pipe next to see the sound difference and then I think I'll be buying their downpipe when they release it. I like the way they are doing the "piece your exhaust together thing" since I have a toddler which means I don't have much money any more haha.

Super easy install, I didn't even need to jack up the car because of the ground clearance in the back. Four bolts, four hangers.

As others have said- I think it's a good idea to get two new gaskets since they are only a few bucks each and my stock ones were destroyed just from 7,000 miles. I didn't get new bolts, and I don't think they are necessary.

I chose quad staggered double-walled tips and flush with the bumper.

Sound clips in the video, of course recorded doesn't do it justice vs in person.

Here is the reason I have to buy my exhaust in three separate pieces (but I guess she's worth it haha) rocking out her new Recaro seat:

But on to the exhaust photos

Thanks guys!

06AWD- I just have the axleback, accessport and the sf intake for performance stuff. Running the cobb stage 1+SF 93 oct map.

Hakira- The drone (for me and my wife) is better than the stock. Now real low bass frequencies bother me, so that is why I think it drones less than stock. It is louder, but not as annoying.

Ah, that's what I was hearing. How does the car feel running Stage 1? The axle back (cat-back when it's ready) and that map, are what I plan to do before the end of the summer.

^ I have a full 3" CBE and running the AEM CAI, and I can tell you the Stage 1+ map on 93 Octane is INSANE. It is a totally different car and a must-have. Do it!!!

I have been reading that the OTS stage 1 map from Cobb has fairly substantial increases for the 2011 compared to previous years. I can tell you that while I felt a small improvement in performance on my 2006 WRX at stage 1, it was nothing to write home about. Wasn't really happy until I went stage 2. I'm looking forward to seeing and feeling the differences on my 2011.

I'm dying to go stage 2, but the difference is really minimal so I'm staying stage 1+ aem for now. You will be totally blown away.

End thread jack :-) but seriously...check out the SF intake video if you haven't seen it yet. So sweet.

You will need to cut your rear valence to fit the quad tip exhaust.

Yeah Midevil is right. iirc the 2009 had smaller cutouts in the bumper but you could bug Jason @ Nameless and see if he will just weld tips that would fit onto the pipes, or see if they are developing for your car.

We actually have a product for the 2008-2010 WRX Sedan that is very similar to these, it features a double wall, straight cut set of tips that fit well in the rear valance of the 2008-2010. We make these tips in house by hand, and they are entirely tig welded from T304 Stainless:

They are also $299/pair, but can only be ordered over the phone right now. Our website is going through a major overhaul and all of our new products are going to be on it when it is launched.

Until then we can be contacted at: 360.263.5001 or at [email protected]

We also have a hatch catback available now, plus a sedan midpipe, muffled sedan midpipe and divorced downpipe in the works - each of these are about 1-3 weeks out at this point, all prototyping and dyno runs have been done, etc.

Jason

Did you use your old gaskets when installing your exhaust?

I believe he mentioned he purchased new ones, but I would also like to know: if you ordered the gaskets online, would you mind posting a link? I just ordered the NP axleback and did not even think about replacing the gaskets (I'm 100% new to the mods game)

When I installed mine, I reused the old gaskets. I only had about 5000 miles on the car, so they came off clean when I pulled off the stock axleback.
