Default 2004 STi swap, CEL and limp mode with no codes stored!?

This has happened to me once about every 2000 miles...

I'll be driving along, get to 4th gear, go WOT, and at about 4-5k rpm, the car just drops to limp mode.

I finally got a chance to get my roomate's accessport on it to read the codes/reset the CEL, but the accessport reports "no codes found."

Now what do I do?

Boost doesn't peak over 15lb, runs about 14.5-14.8 average. Idle vac is -9.6.

Stock DP, Stock turbo, only "mod" is a K&N Typhoon intake... The swap brought the full harness over, so no spliced wires to worry about...

What would throw an 04 STi ECU into limp w/o storing a code?

Also, the car will stay in limp mode until I reset the ECU.
