Love how some say it looks too ricey, others are saying it looks like a muscle car. I remember how many people hated the current WRX and how it wasn't rally looking enough; now people are saying the same for this. How can one car be so many different things?
All the stuff I think I won't be on the final version: -Side mirrors. This is always changed for safety reasons. -Yellow trim -Carbon fiber roof -Headlights. All concepts have these futuristic looking lights, but then get downgraded with final version. I think the rest will stay pretty close to the production version. I don't know , it feels not so aggressive as current model. but over all it is nice design, just not "WRX", feels like a BRZ squeezed in 2 extra door...
the question remain is the performance, I guess it is what a machine capable defines itself, not looks however, I'll like to have a higher if not adjustable suspension; for god's sake, the road in my town is crappy around the end of winter, it is impossible not to hit a pothole when you putt out for a drive. I always joking about it saying the city should host street rally racing... this should help bring in some $$ for the city... |

Just got back from seeing this beauty in person, and let me tell ya, up close, it really is a thing of beauty. I got a chance to speak with one of the main reps at the show, who knows only that the price will most likely be around what a current model goes for. He says it def. will be AWD, but is unsure what the power train will be. Lastly, the wheels unfortunate will not be included... They are apparhently worth 40000 a piece as they are off a Ferrari. As for other items, the carbon roof is to stay, but the led lighting will most likely be gone in favor of hologen.
I'll post pics later... |

Hopefully they can keep it below 35k.
There are so many other cars I'd buy before I spend close to 40k for a WRX. |

I heard there will be a rally mitsubishi evo being released too, AWD, carbon roof, volk wheels on the special edddition, and close to around 400hp that will be priced in the middle 40s.

Aesthetically it's awesome, but that greenhouse is unrealistically small. Also, one of my few complaints about my RX8 was its long wheelbase. Great for rear passenger leg room and high speed stability, but for fun low speed shenanigans not so much. For purposes of comparison:
MX5 ------ 89.2" (NA, NB) MX5 ------ 91.7" (NC) AE86 ----- 94.5" S2k ------ 94.5" RX7 ------ 95.3" (SA/FB) RX7 ------ 95.5" (FD) RX7 ------ 95.7" (FC) S13 ------ 97.4" WRX ------ 99.2" (1st gen) WRX ------ 99.4" (2nd gen) S14 ------ 99.4" Z34 ----- 100.4" BRZ ----- 101.2" WRX ----- 103.1" (3rd gen) Impreza - 104.1" (4th gen) Z33 ----- 104.3" RX8 ----- 106.3" WRX ----- 108.7" (2013 NYIAS concept) GC ------ 111.0" The FD was slightly less than the FC, while the 370z was a almost 4" shorter than the 350z. |

Did anyone else notice the trunk? It seems to already have a lip built into it so if they keep it like that there is no way you could attach any other wings to it without it looking stupid imo. So im assuming the production model's trunk will be more subtle and either have no wing or a detachable wing.
