The ****ing vignette filter they abuse in every episode is ****ing terrible.
I'm on Ep 8. It looks like they stopped using the filter on ep 2-3.

Also, I disagree with the time frame being modern day. I'm on Ep8 and the rescue, fire and cops are all old ass cop cars from the 50s -70s. Also, I haven't seen one cell phone or even flat screen tv, or any other modern tech. Cars are all older, even in the very few in town scenes.

Edit: Dammit. LOL later in EP 8 has the boyfriend waking up using a cell phone alarm. 1st piece I've seen.

Finished it up on Friday. I thought it got better as it progressed and finished strong. Given where it left off, S2 should be fun

Outlaw King was pretty good. Also, I'm one episode into Bodyguard and enjoying it too.

Finished Hill House finally. Was pretty good.

Now do I continue Ozark S1, start Narcos Mexico this weekend, start Sabrina, start Bodyguard, continue last few seasons of Breaking Bad, start S2 of Making A Murderer or do S2 of Westworld.

The cousin, the one on house arrest, spent every minute on his laptop.
It's a companion piece to Riverdale, which is modern.

They have 2 "collections" of Jeopardy! available. Looks like only the tournament of champions.

Only 2 out of bazillion seasons?

Finished Hill House. Great. Picked up Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon. It's actually super good. Cleaned up the Emmy's this past round.

Meh. It started off strong but by the end it just feels like something was missing.

This seems like an appropriate description:

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is overall a delightful confection and looks right purty with its endless wide-screen landscapes and desert vistas, but it sure does leave a cowboy thirsting. Part storybook, part love letter, Buster Scruggs ends up feeling like a Coen brothers B-sides compilation, full of half-formed thoughts and beautiful but maddening vignettes.

It did start off strong. But by the time the girl and the dog story was wrapping up, I was surfing the web. That story did not hold my attention. Old miner sure brought me back though.

The rest of the stories were fantastic.

I felt the same way. Some of the stories were decent and I really liked the first one but by the end I was ready for it to be done. Kind of disappointing to be honest.

Thinking back on it, I really did like the whole thing. The opening had action, which was great, but lots of the other stories had tension. I never really knew what to expect.

I think I'll probably watch it again soon with a buddy or just alone. It just kinda stuck with me.

Part of it is probably because I've driven through each state besides Florida and the movie reminded me a lot of my road trips.
