Default Lowering questions

So I am going to be installing bc br coilovers w/ swift springs ( please don't comment on the type of coilover I will be using. I no it's not a a++ brand but its in my budget.). I will be running a 18x8 +45 offset wheel with 225/40R18 tires. I will be using front camber plates with H&R camber bolts on the rear. I am not very knowledgable on suspension or the car world in general just getting into it. Therefore I may contradict myself or sound like I don't know wtf I'm talking about which on a lot of this I don't ( don't judge please just need guidance.).

I watched a video about height adjustment for coilovers, I understand that process. I want a aggressive lower look to my 07 wrx tr. it's at stock ride height w/ stock strut/spring. I want at least a 3mm tire2fender gap after the adjustment. What I don't understand is when the wheel is turned and the coilover compresses on a bump/ dip etc, how does it not push the tire into the fender. Or is that why you negative camber the tires, roll the fenders slightly etc;

Dude - take it to an alignment shop. With coilovers you have to consider corning balancing and droop.

I forgot to add I will be getting a alignment day after I instal. I'm just asking about general knowledge about how that part works. When the spring compresses how it will not push the tire into the fender

If you have a wheel flush with the fender you will rub over bumps

The only way you'll rub with that setup is if you run positive camber. 18x8 +45 with a 225 won't even come close to the fenders.

I understand that, lets say i have the wheel turned all the way to the right how do the mechanics of the wheel hub under compression of the spring not shot the tire into the fender while its lowered with .... a 3 to 4 mm tire/fender gap

I didn't see he had the wheel and tire size stated.

It won't rub. The wheel is in the middle. Think of it like a sphere. It won't rub at full lock if it doesn't straight.

Why are you at full lock going over a bump anyway?

Because the tire isn't even close to the fender with that setup.

Are you going to fix your front geometry after lowering it? I know it's not related to your fender concerns, but I still figured it'd be a good point to bring up.

If he can't figure out why the tires won't run against the fenders, he surely won't know about geometry.

You said you want a gap and with such a non aggressive setup you'll be fine.

He's being a "dbag" cause there's threads on threads on threads about this stuff. We all did out research and made it work.

Once you roam NASIOC for a few more months, you will come to realize why nhat responded the way he did. It was the farthest thing from a d-bag response. He was just stating that you didn't research your OP enough, so why would I (or anyone else for that matter) think you'd know about how lowering will affect your front geometry? If you have done some research, I suggest you give us more detailed questions and some information you believe pertains to it.

This.

And why should I (or anybody else) spend time searching for information which is readily available when the OP hasn't shown that he/she has taken the time to do so?

It's not my car, it's not my money. I'll help you but you have to take initiative.
