Default Thinking of buying new car. Need some info

Yes yes, I know. Another I want to buy a car thread. However thinking about buying a brand new car. I was wondering if anyone has purchased a brand new subaru lately. Are dealerships willing to haggle on new cars, or are they stubborn prics. Reason for asking is I could drive to colorado and buy a new legacy 3.6r for 25k where here they are 31-32k. However I would probably just buy a 2.5i legacy. Dont need any bells and whistles.

Also has the financing lighten up a bit? Credit is decent (740), and would have to finance the vehicle and would prefer to put nothing down if possible.

Thanks for the info

dave ramsey also believes the best years of your life are when you can barely walk! If he cared so much about debt and people his stuff wouldnt cost so much!

Dan, you just need to bring them numbers from the other dealerships. If they see what you were offered they work with you. When I bought the STI Larry Miller was the most willing to work with prices/ haggling. Mark Miller wasnt close. The other was Nate Wade that I liked.

I bought a 2009 WRX about a year ago (in Maryland). This may sound like some spam ad, but I saved a ton of money using this method I read about in USA Today. It basically gives you tons of real numbers (compared to what you're "told" are the sticker price by the dealership).

It basically pits the dealers against one another. Looks shady, but worth every penny, epsically when you end up saving thousands. $35 is nothing to spend.

PM if you have any questions.

FWIW when I bought my STI, I printed similarly equipped cars from Heuberger and took them to the dealers. Nate Wade said no deal, Mark Miller took a little work but they matched it.
