I find it hard to believe that Aston Martian went from a stinker of a car in '22 to being this good.
Qualifying will sort this out. Looks like Williams are still Williams. I'm interested in seeing Mag vs Hulk. |

well, Alonso in front of the sandbagging Mercedes, Ferrari must hope not to eat up their tires, Hülkenberg better than Magnussen, McLaren with the Clarkson loser-L on their face like Alpine, and RedBull will win both championships

Looks like same ol same ol. AM made a huge jump. Even Stroll got in the top 10. Williams are still Williams. Ferrari complained a lot about practice performance but they usually do well on this track. |

RB picking up where they left off last year. Looks like the AM hype could be real - if they stay on top of the car's development. Good showing by SAR. Haas biggest disappointment.

Who's the guenious at AM. Going fron near the back of the grid to 2nd or 3rd team. Somewhere Vettel is ripping his hair out. Pretty sad when a coustomer engine is beating the factory team. Kudos to Williams. Didn't see that coming. Disasterout w/e for McLaren. Even one thier Indy cars crashed out of 1st lap. Notice Ocon (I think) had a broken end plate and never got flagged for it like Haas last season. Took the Stewards 12 laps until putting out that Ocon was not line up right at athe start. kudos to Alonzo. I'm more happy for him to get the podium than I am Aston Martin...although I am glad they got there as it lends to the variety and boosts viewership.

RB probably got this in the bag. Rather Alonso get the win because Ferrari is Ferrari. Looks like Alpine is picking up steam and hope they knock MB down a few spots.

Forgot Leclerc get 10 place penalty for engine change.
Alonso has a good shot at this. |

Pretty boring race at the front, but, good going Alonso! Just squeaked that out. Of course RB being RB and Ferrari... meh. Honestly thought Alpine would do better.

Alonso get a 10 sec penalty for violating the 5 sec penalty. Ferrari can't finish ahead of Mercedes? Is McLaren and Williams going to battle for last place? |

Just got reversed. Alonso keeps 3rd.
These idiot Steward don't know their own rules. It said that you can't work on the car during the 5 sec penalty buy it doesn't say anything about touching the car. |

Yep.
The so called incident happen on lap 19. They gave the 10 second penalty after the race. Guess they had to take their nap. Oh yeah, the safety car was a joke too. Stroll pulled in behind the fence out of harms way. Last edited by MrH; 03-20-2023 at 09:28 PM. |

F1 in Atlantic City anyone?
At least its not a street track. https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-news/10...de-track-plan/ The United States of America already hosts three F1 events but could this number be set to rise once again? F1's surge in popularity has been evident in the US with the Circuit of the Americas joined on the 2022 calendar by Miami, with Las Vegas set to make its long-awaited comeback in November. But there could soon be another facility available that could host F1, with the former Bader Field airport given the green light by the city council on Wednesday to be converted into a stunning race track. The track would be four kilometres long and it is reported that is would tick all the boxes required to host F1. The project is reported to cost $2.7 billion with construction to take place across the next six-nine years. WATCH: 6 weirdest Formula 1 tracks in history | GPFans Special Is there space on the calendar? The F1 calendar has bloated in recent years with the current season set to be the longest in the sport's history with 23 races. This total was expected to be 24 but was reduced after the cancellation of the Chinese Grand Prix, an axing that created an unexpected 'spring break' between events in Australia and Azerbaijan. F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has previously gone on record stating that 24 is the 'maximum' number of races that could fit on a calendar, but there are suggestions the sport could consider rotating races between years in order to fit more destinations onto the roster. But given there has previously been interest from China and Saudi Arabia in hosting a second race and South Africa is looking to make a comeback, it is unclear whether there would be space for a fourth US event. |

Meh, the "my way or the highway" attitude didn't help their case for partnering with a current team. Not really surprised.
