![]() Since the SVX has been down. I've been driving my 88 RX and I absolutley love driving it. I love having complete controll over shift points. Having instant power in corners. But its all Just a dream for the SVX for one all of Subarus manual trannys can't hold the power of a turbo SVX. Endless modification to make it all work. Plus the months of conversion time. Too bad for me and other SVX owners

![]() Sorry but we still have a third pedal. It's the dead one all the way on the left. It's used to keep the driver in position(with the left leg) during high G maneuvers, so you don't use the steering wheel for support, which could cause you to inadvertantly turn the steering wheel or increase your steering response time(bad) due to stiff (bracing) arm muscles.
I don't mind being without a clutch. I think the computer can shift faster and better than even the best driver. Just get the Level 10 Shiftronic if you want some more control over the SVX's gear selection. If you're too cheap for that, just use the hand shifter. Just remember to match revs when downshifting, because the Torque Control won't help you. Eric |

![]() I wonder if a Porsche 911 Carrera 4 transaxle could be adapted to work in an SVX. It is the same basic design as a Subaru transaxle, except it faces backwards.
