No one bought it because they offered it at the same time they offered the WRX Wagon/Hatch. So we went from multiple manual all wheel drive wagons/hatches to none. While I concur that the market won't likely support multiple models, if they had either an FA20DIT powered, manual Legacy OR WRX wagon, rather than both, sales would be more than sufficient (which is supported by WRX hatchback sales since the Legacy GT wagon manual was discontinued, as I would be willing to bet that those who went one way or another while both were offered, took the one option remaining once SOA made that decision).

I seem to remember odd package limitations back then too. If you got a manual transmission, you couldn't get steering wheel controls for radio, and other silly limitations. There were many complaints that people couldn't get the option combo they wanted, so many probably opted to go elsewhere.

I am sure this has been said before, but bring back the hatch to the WRX/Sti line.

My 2011 hatch was totaled recently but without a hatch in the lineup, we decided to look at other cars in addition to the Sti. For the first time in almost 14 years I don't have a WRX in the garage and it is kind of sad. Had the hatch been in the lineup it would have been a no brainer for me, but when looking at sedans, there are other very interesting choices out there.

Dear SOA,

I have a 2007 WRX wagon limited 5mt and one child in a rear facing car seat, soon I will have a second child in a rear facing car seat, which will not fit in my 07 (I'm too tall to put one behind drivers seat). I would like either a WRX wagon limited 6mt (assuming I can fit two rear facing car seats in it), or a legacy GT wagon limited with 6mt. Wagons need to come back, leather is for easy cleanup and heated seats.

Bring back the LGT Spec B, make the current WRX and STI look less like a boring Toyota, and bring back the WRX and STI hatchbacks.

I would be happy if North America got the same models that are available in the rest of the world. Also a hybrid outback would be nice. Bring back the justy!

- WRX/STi wagon. Not a hatch, a wagon. With 6-speed.
- Give us the Levorg.
- More wagons, with power and 6-speed.

No reason to ever put the 2.0L in a car again. I get better gas mileage in my wife's 2.5L Forester than my 2.0L Impreza. Cvt vs 5sp, but still. 2.5L in a CVT Impreza/Crosstrek would make an adequately powered car that still got great gas mileage and would be an absolute pleasure to drive.

Please give us a option of "STi" everything in the line up. Even if it's order only and we have to wait forever and a day for it to arrive. It should also be a proper STi too! 6 speed, Brembo, 300hp, etc. In the BRZ's case the STi model should not be a bunch handling parts in a slow car. GIVE IT A TURBO!! Even if it has to be low mounted and hidden in a crazy place like the old z31 Nissan Z cars.

Also for the sake of your company's heritage make a LIGHTWEIGHT 2 door Impreza STi (think brz, but with AWD) specifically for WRC, race it, dominate, then make a production car of it!

I would certainly love to see an option for the EE20 engine here in the states.

Here is my suggestion for SoA. I really love the brand, and where they are headed with fuel efficient plus their reliable all wheel drive system. Their market range from the Outback and legacy models for the average American to the BRZ and WRX STis for those who enjoy going fast. But one category of car has been avoided for a few years now. Trucks!

I would love to see a new Subaru truck appear in the next couple of years. The Baja was somewhat successful as a small truck, but it lacked the utility of a full size bed. I'm picturing a vehicle the same size as a Honda Ridgeline that incorporates a full crew cab compartment, with a medium size (6 to 8 feet) bed. It could potentially use the same chassis as the Legacy/Outback platform with stiffer rear suspension to handle heavy loads. I'm not the best with Photoshop skills, but I can imagine someone on the boards could create this vehicle. Hope someone in the R&D reads this and suggests my pitch to the company.

Also if it picks up interest I'd like to be the first one to test drive and own one! Lol

SOA won't even respond to emails, but we need a Levorg! With a manual. Now.

Offer an Impreza Sport with the FA20. And slightly stiffer springs and sway bars.

It'll be an intermediate model between the Impreza and the WRX. Charge about $22k-23k for it.

Impreza - 150hp - $19k
Impreza Sport - 200hp - $22k
WRX - 270hp - $26k
WRX STi - 310hp - $32k

So many great ideas in this thread. My contribution is an XV version of the Forester. Give it slightly beefier wheels and tires. Manual only with a 2,500 lb towing capacity. Suppose it would have the diesel engine OR a new NA one from the tribeca replacement or the 7-seater.

Seriously though, the forester is a home run (even though it's a little tall). now you just need to increase the functionality!

Yeah. Looking back through it, Subaru really hasn't listened to us. And where it seems like they did, it could well be a coincidence i. e. They were putting out that product anyways.

Man, they're just as arrogant to their fanbase as Jeep is. "We're gonna make nothing that you've asked for, and YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT!"

NOTHING has changed? The Subaru lineup is very different from 2006. All models grew significantly in size and lost frameless windows. Legacy wagon dropped. Legacy GT dropped. Outback XT dropped. WRX/STI 5-dr dropped. Tribeca dropped. Crosstrek & BRZ added. First hybrid released. Overseas, kei car production ceased in favor of rebadging, and Levorg added. And U.S. sales more than doubled. (BTW, for the most part, I loved the lineup in 2006... at one point I had both a Legacy and Outback from that year.)

SOA has done an excellent job increase sales and revenue. Now they need to follow Ford's example, have a performance solution for every model. Which is the direction they are going in now and can't wait to see what they come out within the next couple years.

Since the Levorg coming to the US is most likely not going to happen, how about a Forester STI. MMM that would be nice, or wait.. maybe an STI WRX 5 door????

Hey SOA - while working on that next-gen Tribeca, take a good look at the 2015 Kia Sedona. I very nearly bought one last week, but held off, for now.

It's a minivan that does its level best to look like an SUV, and pulls it off quite nicely. It's a large step up from the previous gen Sedona, and I really like the way it looks.

A couple items of note: On the Sedona SX and SX-L you get heated and cooled front seats, heated second-row seats, electric power steering (lower models have hydraulic), middle row seats collapse forward to allow greater ease of access to rear seats.

Yeah, if you could incorporate features from the Sedona and the Viziv 2 into that next-gen Tribeca, and make it a plug-in hybrid, it'll be a winner.

One of the reasons I held off is because the mpg rating is 25 highway, while the Honda Odyssey (with cylinder deactivation) is rated at 28.

If you can meet or beat the Odyssey mpg and meet or beat the Sedona feature-set, it'll be a long fly ball over the center-field fence.

Perhaps I'm not asking for enough, but I'd like the backup camera to work whenever the car is moving backwards. Right now mine only works when in reverse with the clutch engaged (pedal out- not pushed in). I've got a steep driveway and can just ride the brakes and coast down to the street in neutral slowly while looking over my shoulders and in the mirrors, but double checking in the backup camera too would be nice.

If I back down the driveway in reverse, I've got to slip the clutch and ride the brakes to go as slow as I want (little kids in my neighborhood- but none are mine, thankfully at my age) and I hate slipping the clutch unnecessarily.
