I get that we likely wont get the S207 in the US, but can we have the Yellow?

I love my Spec B. The only way to make it better would be in wagon form.

I'm waiting for a new STi hatch with an FA25DIT, that's what it'll take to sell my S2000 and Spec B. Although a true Forester STi would do the trick even better.

Would also be happy with an STi Levorg

Would love to have a couple new color options. Possibly the s207 yellow?

Would also like to see an option for moon roof on the base model STI.

Any word on a Diesel Engine for Outback? I'm a newbie, but would love to see a small diesel in this car.

2017 Impreza was just launched at the NYIAS, no mention of a manual transmission, just "we'll tell you some time in April" according to Car and Driver.

Well, if you're still making up your mind here's my feedback:
No manual trans? Subaru is dead to me.

I was planning to replace my current cars, a WRX and Civic with a Crosstrek or Impreza hatch and a BRZ in a year or two. If I can't get the Crosstrek/Impreza with a manual, no sale. Make it a 6sp with a good mileage gear at the top, please. I'll gladly pay the same price for a manual as for the CVT.

My yearly utopic dream,

- DSG option
- Legacy Spec B (with DIT 2.0) w/ DSG
- Tribeca remake with H6

I'd buy two right now.

I will also concur on more color options, especially for the performance lines. The S207 yellow looks amazing and would pay a premium for that color option. If people already think I am a tool for driving a WRX, I might as well peg the needle with some crazy color.

+1 If Subaru releases a manual Impreza Sport hatch this fall, I'll buy it. Or a manual WRX hatch.

If not, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I would be quite happy if the entire range had the same bolt pattern. Quite unfair that I can quite easily source STi wheels.... But cannot use them without a hub change...

Unlike the Legacy/Outback where they can. =(

All I want for Christmas is a 2017 Levorg to reach the states. Failing that, an IOU for a 2018 model to arrive stateside at some point during 2017.

If Subaru updates the STI with an FA engine for MY 2018, I will happily trade in my '15 WRX for one. If they sell it in Sonic or Sunrise Yellow, I will be first in line with a suitcase full of cash!

Please make available an accessory like the Jaguar F-PACE Activity Key.
Descriptions about how it works are at:

How about an Impreza that can compete with the Civic Si, with adequate power (200-225 HP) and sport suspension ?
It would not have the bragging factor of a WRX or STI but it would be a good compromise while offering a great fun/cost ratio.

Forester STi, or even an XT with a manual, and get rid of the hideous tail lights. As I get older and build personal capital, the BMW X5 M's and Audi SQ5's become more and more tempting, especially since the good (04-08) foresters are impossible to find.

It's a good idea, but would compete with the WRX, despite it not being as in your face. Thus, I guarantee that they would never make it. Gone are the days of the Impreza RS....would be a good engine to also offer in the rest of the lineup, save the Ascent and WRX.

I hope that Subaru drops their CVTs for an 8, 9, or 10 speed transmission

I'm fine with the CVT, as Subaru makes the best CVT on the market. Subaru just needs to make it stronger to handle tuned motors and the Ascent.

I hear that Cobb won't make a Stage 2 AccessPort due to CVT not being able to handle it. The HT-CVT needs to handle towing as well. The Tribeca was rated at 3500 (with tranny cooler), but people were asking for more. The competition were usually rated at 5000 lbs (with AWD).

Towing, yes. They need to make a strong enough transmission to tow 3,000 - 5,000 pounds. Otherwise people will bring their money elsewhere. There are a lot of good options in that segment.

For performance, I'd prefer to see a 8/9 speed auto for the wrx or sti (if they implement an auto). In my opinion CVTs are meant for mundane daily drivers and not for spirited vehicles (despite their claims of holding peak torque their performance is subpar in the segment)

Default Power and Safety

1) Because some owners complained of poor mileage on the 2.5 liter engines, Subaru put smaller 2 liter units in the Impreza and XV/Crosstrek. The Legacy and Outback and Forester have grown larger and heavier while the engines have remained at around the same power levels. Meanwhile, other manufacturers have done what Subaru did many years ago and then retreated from: Go to an all turbo lineup (look at the new Honda Accord for an example). This increases power while providing reasonable mileage. And it can be done using regular fuel. I very much like my Impreza Outback Sport 2008, but it is ten years old. I want the new safety features and really like the 2018 model. But it takes a nearly a second and a half longer to reach 60 mph and when fully loaded, I do not feel that it can accelerate safely in some traffic situations. Power can be upgraded without appreciably reducing mileage.

2) Why does Subaru not make the entire Eyesight safety suite available on all models (at least all CVTs)? Toyota and Honda offer at least some similar safety features even on base models. I am especially annoyed that the Forester 2.5I Premium has Eyesight available but it is not even an option on the much more expensive XT Premium. I have to buy the XT Touring with a whole host of features I do not want, at a much higher price, just to get Eyesight. And until this year, it was an extra cost option. Now it is standard on the top-of-the-line model, but the price was adjusted upward, accordingly. It should be at least available across the board without having to buy a package with a lot of other things. I previously owned a Forester and considered an XT as an alternative to a new under-powered Impreza.

Im getting ready to deploy, I saw the pictures of the 2 door coupe sti that Subaru was supposed to come out with, then they went away with the sti and wrx hatches, no expectations of return in the near future, I grew up a ford guy, test drove the heck out of a 17 RS while in ks for army school, liked it, exhaust sounds sucked, (read as no subie rumble even around 5krpm) love the hatchback and earlier impreza wagons. Now.... I have just decided the heck with the wait. I will buy the 95 coupe and jdm swap it. Body is good, and already has a cage. Then between it and my 2010 ford focus coupe I should be able to play both games, fun and spirited, and good looks and fuel efficient. Sucks that Subaru wont come back out with an AWD impreza coupe (the coupe concept in 15 launch edition theme was sexy!) or sti wrx hatch. Both iconic, and both seemingly forgotten. I have to agree with the "boring" comment of the new cars. I may just be prejudice but I really prefer the 01 rs coupe and the 02-07 impreza and wagaon after 2008, if its not a hatch sti, really not interested. Although the launch edition was nice as it was blue interior as well. Again miss the old.just my .02

Can we PLEASE get stronger wheel liners on the Impreza (maybe the whole lineup)? My 2014 Impreza scraped when the front wheels went in a pothole and tore the front driver's side wheel liner/splash guard clear off. Maybe make them out of steel or something?
