Saw two of them Friday night. One black with silver cladding on Route 50 in Schenectady/Scotia/Glenville. Too quick to get a wave in.

Later night, a dark (blue, black, not sure) with the same colored cladding was not polite at an intersection in Ballston Lake, taking the right of way when it was mine. Wife turned to me and said "You don't care, do you? Because it's another Baja". My reply: "Yep."

They made a left in town, preventing me from getting a wave in.

Cool

Well, seeing how you are from Niss-key-you-nah, that may explain it!
I think I have seen 25 different Baja's in our area, and not all of the owners seem to be that friendly! Don't know why, just the way it is.
I'll keep an eye out for you on the road. If we get a chance, be glad to chat with you!
Keep it under 90, folks!

Default Warm welcome from Portland!

I feel like I'm the only aware person driving sometimes and had hoped upon upgrading from a Honda iNsight to my '05 sport called BFG(Brutus the Flying Grape: it's purple yet brutal looking) I'd get more connections with fellow Baja'rs but will pull alongside many with no recognition on their part... Anywho, work with a gent who drives a yellow 2tone, see 2 others along hwy26 constantly and a neighbor just upgraded from one to a silver '06 turbo, see the other stock colors occasionally

@Cooter13: drive up the valley to Portland often? Thought I saw a/your all black 2 Saturdays ago on the 9th driving up I-5 through NoPo...

It definitely explains a lot of things . The part of Schenectady that doesn't think it's Schenectady, because it's better somehow. All i know is that I'm right off the river, and that suits me just fine.

I've seen quite a few on the road... just not when I'm driving mine. Haven't had a chance to pull up and say hi to someone when I'm driving the company car, either. One of these days...

I'm pretty hard to miss. Black '06 with the Mudrat front and rear bumpers. I stick out like a sore thumb. Cladding is missing off the rear bumper, too. She's got an ugly butt 'til I can source out a replacement bumper cover.

Drive the Northway often, do you?

And to keep this on topic, I think I got spotted tonight. Some guy in a low riding Honda pulled up next to me on the corner of 146 and Providence/River Roads.
Him: "Hey, does that car get good mileage?" (I'll forgive him for calling Onyx a car , he wants to talk about my Baja)
Me: "25 MPG"
Him: "That's good, right? 4 by 4?" (as he holds up four fingers)
Me: "All Wheel Drive."

He grinned and made his right turn onto 146 as the light turned green, and I made my left.

What hitch did you get? I'm looking for one for my '06 to pull a 5' x 10' utility trailer.

The white one and red one are mine. The black one belongs to my son. He came over and I thought it would be a good picture all lined up like that.

You own TWO BAJA'S? Greedy
I assume your White BAJA is a 2005, correct?
Looks identical to mine, but the wheels are different.
Enjoy!
