I'm guessing they add even more downforce than lips and full bumpers do, and i don't think that all lips/bumpers apply downforce to the whole width of the nose, so being on the extreme points of the car's nose, they would be the most beneficial in that respect.

*also notice their extreme angle compared to the bumper's integral fin on sonic's picture

yup, downforce, stability, etc.

im a firm believer in aerodynamics... probably cuz I have experienced first hand how it is to be going extremely fast while being aerodynamically challenged.

its actually no laughing matter. anyways, some mods reduce drag while increasing downforce, while some add drag while adding downforce. A wing is 1 such mod that adds both drag and downforce, whereas a front lip reduces drag while adding downforce. Drag is bad, it slows you down... but lift is really bad, so wings are a good sacrifice for the downforce produced.

BTW, i added a lip and the front stability at speeds of about 70 mph on up has increased tremendously!

I put my wing and body kit on the same day. The car felt good, I had a greddy front lip. Well, I had to take the front lip off one day to add foam on the inside so it didnt scratch my car. When I drove to work on the highway going 60-80mph, I noticed that my car felt like it was doing a wheelie with no front lip and just the wing.

I put the front lip back on and it felt fine again. I was like Sheet, it actually works.

yup i cant wait to see how my car feels with the wing risers on...

anyone feel a difference with side spats? I'm guessing they are there for an aerodynamic purpose...
