With that being said, it took serious cornering to really feel that which isn't a daily activity so that is why I feel the blacks are more suitable. Nothing is perfect with non-adjustable setups esp when my goals were driving in the snow and on a track (difficult to get 9/10s of what I want for each activity on 1 setup), but the blacks are the most enjoyable for daily duties and the reality of poorly maintained roads.
thank you for your input. thats what i wanted to hear.

Just wanted to follow up since I have taken these off the car a couple months back in place of RCE's Tarmac II coilovers! Ultimately over 68K miles were put on these with both the yellow and black springs that performed extremely well for a non adjustable coilover option. Zero reliability issues the entire time through various surfaces (snow, crappy LA streets, maintained dirt roads, tracks) and they still are amazing today! I was very hesitant over getting non adjustable dampers at first given what I had been told and expereinced in GR chassis's. After a couple thousand miles and 1 track day on the stock suspension, I realized I'd rather work on a cheaper solution to fully adjustable coilovers so I had additional budget for tires and bushings/bars/chassis impovements . SOOOOO glad I did this just because it made the feedback in the car SO much more predictable and consistent which enabled me to fine tune sway bars and tire pressures to best suit the Bilsteins for whatever the situation! Seriously, if you love driving your car through everything these are the right choice and provided that to me over the last 3 years! As always RCE and GTWORX know their stuff on these subarus.

Thanks for this detailed review. I'm deciding between blacks and yellows and this helped. I'm coming from 11k/11k feal 441's and want something for dd. How do you like the tarmac 2's? Those are nice coilovers
