Default 2010 Wrx Turn signal issue

Front drivers side turn signal only works when headlights are off, but is out with the headlights on. havent had a chance to check the grounds / relays. anyone with any other ideas before i just start with putting a bulb in it?

Since the headlights make the problem happen then your suspicion of a faulty ground is correct. You can verify that by adding your own ground wire between the battery and to the suspected bad ground point.

Agreed. The current ground can handle a light load (signal), but not a heavy load (headlight).
Could be broken wire strands in the wire, bad crimp, loose ground connection, corroded ground connection.
