You also live in New England....

Yeah, Road Atlanta is usually about $200/day HPDE or TT.

I totally get that this is a different kind of event and worth the extra money. Plus you get to hang out with those drift guys

I was suprised it was so expensive being on Lightning, NJMP is pricey to begin with but its the shorter track with double the entry fee of other venues, hell its the same price as road atlanta which is 10x better than NJMP is. To be honest Lightning favors heavier/higher powered cars anyway even in enthusiast class i might be pushing 280/300 hp. $600 is 3 days at our local track, 2 days at Palmer, the glen, VIR etc etc, i just dont have the extra dough right now and my car isnt even close to being done so i cant pay for that without having a car to drive anyways.

and that stock wheelbase thing - 4 bolts and an alignment , I'm good

and get some tires that meet the tw regs

after looking at some of the "street" class cars , my delusions of maybe getting on the box went poof
I wouldn't worry so much about getting on the box, lots of us had to start somewhere in the series too

For me, that entry fee is a 3 day HPDE at VIR. VIR is usually in that $220'ish/day range.

Yeah it's a little on the spendy side, at least you guys are on the closer side of the country for the event I'm really hoping for a strong turnout from the East Coast time attack folks who have been voicing their want for GTA to make it back out there.

The Canadian guys are planning on being there according to a friend on the street. Should be interesting, I may have to spectate if I survive Gridlife, lol.
