I started looking for an oil leak. I have minimum tools and little time. I expect my car to be offline for a while. Could be something simple, could need a rebuild. I honestly don't know at this point.

I asked the shop I went to, to match the the windows as best they can. I don't know honestly what they settled on.

Another motor because of failed head gaskets which lead to cam failure. Noticed the donor motor had been worked on since it was frankensteined so thought the head gaskets were good then this happens

Gah. Engine problems. Mostly only okay when you're not strapped for cash or time.

Listed the STi on Craigslist for sale. It's time to move along on to the next big adventure.

Asking the NADA book price because of it's condition, mileage, and care. You'd have to see it in person to understand. I don't think Continental has any STis on the lot in this good of condition (=

Gah. Engine problems. Mostly only okay when you're not wanting an engine different from the one that premiered in 2004.

New Rota Grid's 17x8 with my 2nd set of Pilot Super Sport's.

Also threw in the KB short throw shifter and front and rear bushings. Shifting is noticeably tighter but just as incredibly notchy. I may have over torqued the bolt that connects the shifter. I read afterwards about 7-8 ft lbs.

I guess the tranny fluid is next (140k miles). Any recommendations on fluid?

Been a while since i posted here. i thought i would update. I had the car completely repainted. Pictures are above. My photobucket account was ruined, so i had to post them that way. It had been 15 years since purchase. After over 14 years in AK, it needed paint, so many swirls. i added a JDM front end, carbon fiber hood and new front airdam. It is low... I have to be careful entering dips and parking lot entrances. Car is still running phenomenal, 30k miles on the Titan tune. 27psi map. Car purrs like a kitten and can get >20mpg but can also rip when asked. I added the wing to the rear too. I have my non winged trunk too, so that i can switch up the look when i want. I'm down to two sets of wheels these days, the Gold BBS and a set of black OZ 17x8. I run michelin all seasons most of the time but put on the stickies sometimes. Been involved in off road motorcycle racing, so I haven't been attending too many car events of late.

Thanks Dom. it surely has been a labor of love. I am reluctant to spend much more on it. I want to keep it as it is now and enjoy it with my son as an antique. Albeit, an antique that can set FTD at a local track day or win an autocross in the Street mod class.

The local Subaru shop here in Gainesville, D&L performance, has had several looks at my car for repairs and maintenance over the last 3 years. The owner and his wife are friends of ours. They are now building multiple RS 2.5 swapped with Version 8 twin scroll EJ207's. He has an importer he is working with in Orlando that i got my front clip from, including the JDM headlights and carbon fiber hood. https://www.facebook.com/DnLPerformance/

My truck will be paid off soon, then it's long over due Porsche time.

That sounds awesome Mike. Next time I'm in FL I'll look you up. Sounds like you will have a bunch of fun toys by that time.

I put black RokBlokz flaps with red logo lettering on my Lithium Red 17 Impreza Sport hatch. Looks kinda cool.

Eh, you're here in spirit. Just post stuff. Not like anyone's here to hand out points.

I bet NOW they could make me a mod and no one would care.

I should've posted when we got our hail and tornado damage fixed last June. FXT got hit pretty bad. Now all the rock chips and Alaskan windshield has been fixed. I could have posted somewhere else but I figured we have limited numbers here, as mentioned before, in other threads.

I used it to unintentionally assist in the suicide of two birds and attempted suicide of three hares and a big fat beaver. Dumb birds.

Installed HKS intake with zero sports elbow, and a Fujitsubo titanium catback. Best exhaust I've ever heard.

Then on a friends car we stripped the heads off his ej207 block to replace head gaskets. Next weekend we will be putting it in along with the vf30.
