Default Coincidence or not?

There I was driving up 290 to meet my parents for dinner. Entering the freeway ahead of me was a silver Saleen or decorated Mustang of sort. I picked up speed a little for a closer look . It was actually a very very nice looking Toyota Celica. It was fully decked out, but very tasteful. It also had a couple TRD badges/decals. I pulled up next to the guy and gave an OK sign and a nod to show approval of his ride.

HOWEVER, SOMETHING WAS AMISS.

As I looked over, I noticed through the dark tint, that the guy was wearing a dark short sleeve shirt with a gold trimmed badge on the shoulder. I got a tiny bit suspicious. Then I noticed a few other things......

I continued on my why, just barely above the speed of traffic. A minute or 2 later, here he comes flooring it in the lane next to me. I let him do just that, noticing the absence if a "fart" muffler (grapefruit shooter, coffee can kazoo, etc.) and that his windows were still up (hmmmmm, wanting to race with A/C on?). Both of these things are uncommon of the average ricer-racer. I later caught up and passed him, doing the same speed I had been doing. He stomps it again and gets behind me. My exit was near, so I punched it just for a second or two and got in the right line to exit. Then he get into the lane. I simply went to my destination. Dinner conversation was about the possibility of this guy being a cop. Before I had a chance to ask any of you guys of your opinion about this, every news channel had a story of the street racing sting that just took place near the same area. I believe this guy was a cop.

True, but this car had heavy aftermarket wear. It was definately car show quality. I haven't seen many cars like this a police stations and court houses.

That ***** just pisses me off. What if he had caused an accident? Should've given him a brake check if he got up on your ass like that. :monkey:

I met a cop down at parking lot when I was checking out my turning radius. He drove an M3 to and from work. Warned me not to do burnouts and keep it under 90mph. Just because they are the "Man" does not mean they have to drive a Ford Taurus.

My stepdad was a dallas cop for years. Used to dirve the 76 Malibu before It became mine (400 C.I. bored 40 over.... all the extras a monster). When the new mustang body style came out during the 90's he used to smoke them left and right coming home for work. They would always catch up at the next light to talk smack and he would have the window rolled down with cop uniform on and be like "whats up"

You know on Jones road one night kinda embarrassed to tell ya'll this, I was on the way home. I saw this car coming fast from behind and then move to the next lane. Since I just got done whooping up on this S4, I thought it was him again wanting more. SOOooo, I hit it in 2nd..... then 3rd and I start running away from him again so i slowed back down and thats when he passed me at about 80MPH..... it was Jersy Village Police........ I think I got really lucky...

Yeah, you got really lucky.

I guess a security guard is not out of the question. It's still the window thing is still a little odd.

Is that ALL you think about!? Remember there's also 2) cars, 3)beer, 4)sports. You know its hard enough for us males to focus on things other than 1) even without being distracted.
