Earlier this morning they performed a Trans Cranial Doplar to check her levels of any brain functions. After a little bit the doctor on call came in and spoke with us. Doctor stated there has not been any changes. Ashley's eyes are still fixed and dilated and no change in any brain activity. Not sure if the neurologist is going to come in today . The doctor stated that Ashley is not going to wake up . Ashley is now in gods hands . Will let everyone know about any information to come when we get it. Thank you for all the prayers.

keep your head up, as hard as they may be right now

Sorry guys but I don't have good news- They took Ashley off life support today.

I don't know how to go about setting something up for them. I would assume they will bring her home to Indiana I don't know if the military would pay for that. They are currently in 29 Palms, CA. Maybe we'll have to wait for more information from an obituary. Keep an eye out for obituaries in IN. Her dads facebook says Lafayette, IN.....her pages says she went to Jefferson High School if that helps at all.

His daughter is from another relationship and lives with her mom.

Keep me updated if anyone has any ideas. I have talked to his mom on facebook one time maybe she could help but I would hate to bother her I'm sure she's trying to help him through this.

if they're married, there will be VA benefits to help out with costs. Not sure about the transport and such but I can dig up some links from my research last summer (MIL passed)

PGT, thanks. You don't have to do that. We'll figure something out to help I'm sure.

Just crazy...swimming accident takes her life while he does several tours in Afghanistan safely (thankfully).

Very sad indeed.

Prayers for the family and especially the young daughter.

I know too sad, she was getting so excited about April coming and when I asked her why she said Nate comes home.

It ain't poetic, but it's true, and the vulgarity seems to work, given the circumstances.
