How the **** are you making it cost $325 to ship wheels? It should be under $200 unless you're shipping 125 pound semi truck tires.

Someone from NY previously asked, and when I called fedex, told them it was about 45 lbs. per wheel, and I had 4 to ship, the dude quoted me $325. UPS was more expensive. Nothing to hide, here.

They're retarded. Most people say they can ship them with UPS in 2 separate shipments for $100 or less, although I think $150 is a more realistic goal.

Not even greyhound ships for that cheap, and they are one of the cheaper ones...but, I don't trust that expensive items would be treated with care. If you can find me someone to ship for that cheap...I welcome you to do so.

^^There ya go...business to business address and 'not' telling them what's inside the box. If they were to get damaged, in transit, even with insurance on each wheel, I'm sure they wouldn't pay out...or would have some kind of 'excuse' to not pay full value.

Again, I have nothing to hide by what I was quoted from a business to residential address, all the while disclosing what was in the box...so that I could insure them, accordingly.

Lastly, most people don't even want to add that $100-200 to ship the wheels, so, it's not worth it to even bother.

Alright good luck buying used wheels for more than new wheels, I don't think anyone's stupid enough to sell you them with that stipulation unless you're paying the stupidly high price you're getting quoted because you don't know how to ship wheels.

In any case, this isn't a thread about shipping, so, move it along. I was more than willing to split shipping, so, the purchaser would not incur the compelte cost to ship to them, anyway...which, in essence, would be half of what I was quoted.

Back to the 2.0 mods, which was the original intent of this thread. Personally, I never made any 'mods', aside from the rims/rear sway bar because to do so would be futile on an engine that is very old, and outdated. Never mind the manual transmission, which while available, was hardly all that.

Personally, it would be money better spent to mod a car like a WRX or STi, which has tons more support in the market. However, not everyone can, or wants to, dish out that kind of coin for a depreciating asset.

Anyone lifted their Impreza? Looking at a 215 65 16 tire size.

I remember back when Subaru used to make the Impreza Outback Sport, or whatever it was called. I think they then switched to the XV/Crosstrek platform, but, would be interesting to see if that could be done. Wonder if the XV suspension would fit onto the impreza, allowing you to retain your 17's.

Pretty sure the crosstrek has bigger wheel wells, otherwise its giant wheels and tires wouldn't fit.

If you want to pay more than just selling your car and buying a new SUV, you could do a suspension swap.

Idk about he wheel well thing. There is some pretty significant wheel gap on the stock impreza. Bigger wheels and tires should have no problem fitting with a lift in the same wheel well size, such as with the first gen crosstrek. As for the current crosstrek, it's starting to move away from the impreza with more and more body panels/chassis features becoming unique and not interchangeable so ... idk, maybe?

stiffer suspension may make it feel a little faster and in case you wanted a little extra style and get slightly lower, as for sound. so many options. but if you wanna be loud id go with a glasspack

My question is, why and for what car are you going to? I thought about trading my Impreza N/A for a turbo WRX. But the mpg and trunk space are my biggest concerns.

Hello!

I have a 2015 sport limited. Bought it November 2016 and Id go (almost) anywhere with that thing!

I will inevitably get trolled, but wanted to ask: has anyone had experience with a 1.5-3in lift kit on their impreza? i’m looking for more functionality and have no knowledge or experience with implementing or using lift kits.

1. Pros/cons to lifting my impreza 1-3 inches?
2. Trusted brands to use?
3. Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Orange Overlays and 6000k Fog LEDs produce that awesome greenish yellow glow. All fit lip.

Finally!

Default 2015SUbaru Impraza Premium

Hi, I just bought the 2015 Subaru Imraza Premium and trying see where the option to check the Engine Oil life and when is the time to perform the oil change. Is there any option to see that. This model doesnt have the multi function display (I/SET) button on the steering.
Also, does it really have to be Synthetic Oil or Conventional oil can work too?
Thanks

A) it's only $100 new

2) it looks just like the one that came off. It's genuine subaru.

C) it makes a noticeable difference in body roll around turns. Especially slower city turns.

4) it's super easy to install if you have anything above the base model. Took me 10 minutes tops. Would take a mechanic under 5.

Hi!

There is no function for you to "see" your status regarding oil changes.

From the factory, our 2015 imprezas call for synthetic oil. So, yes you are required to use synthetic.

The brand is All-Fit. And I got the full body kit. But if you want, you can just do the front.
