Default Thermostat Housing

Are there any other style thermostat housings that would be compatible with my 2.5L in my '99 Forester. At the suggestion of someone on this board, I ran to the junk yard and got an aluminum thermostat housing from an earlier car with a 2.2L I think it had. It worked well and seems a lot nicer than the plastic one I have. I'm wondering if any of the housings have the hose pointed off in other directions???

Post thermostat housing

I hate to be general, but I would think that all t-stat housings should work from 93-01 regardless of model. Maybe the H6 motor has a different t-stat housing, but I would *assume* that most would be compatible.
