Thumbs up An open thank you to the owner of a blue car in Tustin... and the Tustin PD.

So I was detained for about an hour tonight along with EBWRC#1 (Eric) while dropping my son off. Turns out apparently an owner of a blue car had robbed a local Black Angus (no not Anus sorry guys) a week before. So after being searched, having my car searched and my photo taken along with one of my car (oh yeah I smiled for that one ) I was sent on my merry way. This was after having 4 cop cars and about 6 police officers there just incase we tried something or were the ones.

So in closing no ticket again for me for the 4th time pulled over in the wagon but another mildly interesting but boring night. Enjoy and no there will be no CN's.

Also if you have a blue car in Tustin and are hispanic I suggest you be alittle more cautious driving around here .

Wow, at least it sounds like they were pretty cool about it and didn't harass you at all.

That's better than security at the airport this weekend. After the heightened alert to orange late last week, I drove up to Burbank airport with my GF, they asked if they could search my car, and the guy opened my rear hatch, looked inside for literally 1 second, closed it and said I was good to go. Made me feel nice and safe.

Wink

They were asking things about the car like : Is it faaast? does it make the turbo sound? actually one of them said: your car is very nice indeed!... that was funny!

I was at the point of telling them that I sell subarus and take advantage of their interest! but you know in a moment like that you just wanna shut up and, if you have to answer, the only right words that come out of you mouth are yes...no...sir...etc...why is that?

Btw, they were pretty cool, the only one that looked scare/confused was the rookie one! he didn't know what to do with my wallet.

sorry to hear that Rich.

reminds me of the day a blue car with a big wing robbed a local convenience store in the Ontario area. It had decided to hide in the same truck stop parking lot that the cars for the ITN Rally were gathered and were getting ready for their go signal. The cops had blocked off the all the exits and I was like ... after a brief search they converged on a Blue Neon, and its owner, and took them both away.

oh yeah and the Rally started on time

you may have been there. you were probably still inside scratching your head over which way to go.

I just happen to be the dork that had to set up the start box in the parking lot.

It was no problem and they were pleasant to deal with I just found the whole thing as another interesting part of my weekend.
Oh and I've been pulled over 4 times now since I got the wagon and never got a ticket.

Just wanted to show also that even though they do profile it's something they have to do as part of their job and as long as you didn't do anything wrong and don't get bent out of shape you'll be all right.

Yeah the photo's are fine with me they took all my info/etc and it's not like I'm hard to find anyways. Just funny they figure some idiot would use the brightest blue car with gold wheels that screams look at me to rob a restaraunt that never even looks busy to begin with.

yeah, I feel the same way. the cops were cool. they told me what they were looking for. I just smirked when they said a blue car with a big wing, and I look into the parking lot and there's this fleet of blue WRX's/STI's just sitting there. I pointed out the Neon as not being part of the group, a few other people did as well.

most of the time, if you just cooperate with them, it just goes much more smoothly.

Yeah the funny part was when the officer had to move my car. He gets out and says "nice car".
Then as they were trying to take pics after about the fourth attempt I was about to offer him a subiesport magazine from the backseat so he could have a quality pic of the car.
