"yadda yadda yadda something about the rules saying we can't help you decide"

I know it's opinions that you're after. So, I say the Forester. It sounds fun as a manual. Also, you can buy some toys and financial peace of mind with the extra cash.

thanks for your opinion, i want to hear from any/ all...

RE: 'the rules' - i appreciate your take on that... i'm just asking for perspective, not asking for anyone to come look under the hood with me... i respect the forum and the luv for all things subie here so i'm not sure why that would be frowned on.

Fozzy, done right they can look downright nasty. (In a good way)

My opinion would be the Forester as well. Both are sticks and both are non turbo. I don't know much about the 2.5i wrx vs forester but I assume your essentially choosing based on looks/utility of each. Financial peace of mind is also good. And leaves money for mods if you choose.

Well, if you REALLY want pure opinion, I'd get a blob or hawkeye (04-07) WRX wagon that would be less than the ~17k the Impreza blue-books for. Because racecar. Or something.

But it says in your profile that you already own a 2011 Impreza, so what gives?

I would do the forester because I am dieing to mess with one. I do plenty of sedan's and wagons.

I'd pick the Forrester as well. It totally depends on your needs/wants though. Asking strangers on the internet how you should spend thousands of dollars is probably not a wise idea. Drive both and see which one you like.

wow great points, thanks all!

i do have an impreza, the one mentioned, but someone made me an offer and i found a forester that for some reason i am really into and want to mess with too! i love the 2006-2007 body - way more than the newer ones...

i figure with my dog and having nieces/ nephews etc in and out of the car, i can tint/ change rims/ play around with it and not feel too bad 'cause it's a 2007 daily driver...

I was on this situation a few months back but the decision was between 2000 fozzy or GF8. I went with the Fozz because of higher clearance for hiking and snowboarding.

Edit: Also, I take my nieces and nephew out with the Fozz.

Nice.

I also find myself looking a what I calling "foz-porn" - like Tuned200's ride.

I would do the fozzy if i had the chance. I think they look awesome lowered with some rims... Something different and at the same time very useful with all that space inside.
