I really do enjoy when iPhone people preach about "build quality" and "materials." It makes me think of all the ****ing cracked and shattered glass iPhones I've seen over the years, which in turn makes me chuckle.

almost everything breaks. its just that iPhone users keep saying how ****ty the Galaxy is like the iPhone never breaks.

also, there is a big difference between build quality and durability. the iPhone has an amazing build quality but that doesn't mean that it is very durable.

you shut your trap about the SG3 even though i agree about the LOL TOUCHWIZ part. SGS3+ AOKP = sexy time! (yes, thats what happens when you have options, you can try different things and find what works best for you).

... aaand my favoritest facebook friend ever is at it again.

Quote:
Some iOS6 features you may not know about:

- The browsing space on the Safari browser is now a tad bigger. Turn the phone horizontally to the landscape mode, and tap on the far-right button in the bottom menu bar. The toolbar and the URL bar then disappear.

- Browsing history. You can view your browsing history by keeping your finger pressed for a second on the back-button in Safari.

-Offline reading. The share button on Safari -- the middle button on the bottom menu bar offers several options for a Web page, including mail, send text, post to Facebook, etc. But you can also click "Add to Reading List" and send it to a folder for reading the page when you have no Internet connection — an ideal tool for iPod Touch users or those who monitor monthly data limits.

-Copying URL. A handy tool for those who love to text or e-mail Web pages, the share button on Safari now has the "Copy" option for copying a URL.
OMGINNOVATION.

The point remains that some people prefer nice materials and craftsmanship.

I basically disregard anyone's opinion that doesn't acknowledge that Apple phones have tremendous built quality. I am totally willing to buy that Android is superior to iOS from a technical standpoint, but I just cannot even understand how anyone can tell me the SG3 is as nice of a piece of hardware.

I'm picking on the SG3 because it's one of the most common and top Android phones as far as I know.

wife has iPhone 5, I have sg3. they compare. just because something is made of aluminum does not mean it is superior.

as for touchwiz vs. dev rom, I've played that game. I like all my features to work all of the time. my rooted de-bloated touchwiz setup will burn through less than 50% of the battery over a full day of moderate use and music, has the pimp Samsung camera, runs fairly light, and doesn't have any wierd behaviors like auto dimming glitches or dropping lte at random. I did ditch the stock launcher and keyboard in favor of apex and ics keyboard.

Is the verdict out yet on LTE performance and coverage in and around Orange County, Ca on AT&T?

Still on my 3GS and would like to stay with "unlimited" data.

The SG3 is in no way anywhere close to the top of "build quality" examples for Android phones. There are multiple HTC options that destroy it. Even the venerable Nexus One was far superior in build quality and feel in the hand to the SG3. There's something to be said for maintaining the feel you get from a metal case over plastic, yet still making it as light as the iPhone 5 is. I'm an Android fanboy and even I can admit that. Claiming the SG3 is comparable in that regard is just obtuse.

After you add a card to Passbook, you can no longer access the passbook App Store. Genius.

I am with this guy, I am an sgs3 user but I used to own the I phone 4. Build quality wise and feel are not even in the same league. I like my sgs3 very much and have no complaints about the material it uses or how it feels but that doesn't mean that I don't think that quality and materials wise, the I phone has no competition.

And that's why I listen to you guys. I trust you have some level of objectivity.

I only like it because it is aluminum is a bit shortsighted of a statement IMO.
