even better is that later on in the thread, someone spelled subaru like "suabra"
is that short for "suave bra"? :lol he said the DX beat an Imp w/ 4 180lbs guys in it. well, duh, that's 520lbs of extra fat there... |

One more reason *NOT* to jump the gun... personally I have never seen something like this, but I guess I should never respond to instigation like this, esp by a cop. (Always, always look around you)

With all the heat about street racing in the past year.. I wouldn't even think about racing.. Not worth the penalties..

Ahahaha...thanks Avenger, no man, this stuff is more than welcome here. It just proves to everyone else what a bunch of idiots the "import community" over at ricescene are.
And RC..I know you're tight with them..but come on..this stuff just proves everyone else's point that ricescene are for clowns. *wondering if any ricescene guys are gonna post here to defend themselves * |

Man, it's punks like that that give young asian import car drivers a bad name... so what if the other car is revving the hell out of his engine?? Let him... gas is expensive... what a bunch of morons... Even if some idiot burns out his tires at a stoplight beside me I'd still just laugh at him... not race him... bunch of idiots... they got what they deserved IMHO.

kudos to the cop,
what a sucker that kid in the IS300 is. At a traffic light, the cop gives a bit of gas and this dumbass takes the hook, line and sinker. bwhahahahahahahahahaha So he is also wondering why he got a $400 ticket, Quote:
entertaining read nevertheless! _b [This message has been edited by urbanwhitetrash (edited June 05, 2001).] |

I'm wondering about the whole entrapment thing. Doesn't entrapment mean when you coerce someone into doing something they otherwise would not do? If tapping the gas is all it takes to entrap someone into speeding then I'm a Japanese high school girlie with loose socks like Sandy's. Please, everyone is saying sue the cops. That might work in the states where you can sue someone for calling you a dumba$$
but it won't fly up here. At least IS300 realizes he is busted and has to pay the penalty. Anyways, entrapment laws are much different up here. Not like on TV. [This message has been edited by tora (edited June 05, 2001).] |

My thoughts exactly Tora. There's no way that guy's going to be able to sue the police.
What he did was wrong, and while the cop's methods might be a tad questionable, however he was doing his job. The kid himself said the cop wasn't racing him, only following behind. Heck...I rev my motor all the time when I'm driving...sometimes I do it so I can see if I can replicate the funny sound I hear from my motor... Idiot. That's all I have to say. |

CIVIC DX w/ 4 180lb guys in it can win an Impreza?
i am pretty sure it can coz that's my current ride...if the RS shifts at 3k at every gear i am pretty sure i will win... i have been looking for all the way to make the car won't loose too much torque while i don't have much torque at the beginning...so how can 4 180lb ppl gets the DX runs faster? probably help running w/ their feets? |

Thanks to AWD, you can launch an Impreza very quickly without giving an "exhibition of speed" as they say in California. Race the guy up to the speed limit. No law broken.
